Schumi, I await for your list of excuses! ;D ;D ;D P.S. At least, he had the consolation of Germany winning the team event, BUT only after Vettel saved the bacon for the German team after Schumacher stalled the car.

I didn't see it so can't really comment, but top spot for Germany and second place in the ROC isn't a bad result for an old man (unlike Maguire who's getting a pasting from Ronnie. ) I believe mimi went to this so would be interesting to see what she says about it. Would also have been interesting to see how Lewis would have fared against the mighty German, but I think he was a bit too scared to accept the invitation.

Yes I did go to the race of champions and it was absolutely fantastic (and would have been better had it not been so cold) The swede Mattias Ekstrom won the main event beating Schumacher 2-1 in the final, but I personally feel Schumacher was the best driver on the day (and I am no fan of his). He looked the most comfortable out of all the drivers and was the smoothest round the track, especially in the one seater ROCCar, in which he constantly set new track records. The final of the nations cup was funny, Schumacher stalled the car at the start of his heat against Heikki Kolvalainen and then waited until Heikki was behind him to start. This I am sure was an attempt to upset Heikki as he then went round the track slower than normal trying to trip Heikki up, but it didn't happen and Heikki actually overtook Schumacher up the inside. However Vettel did then beat Kovalainen in the race off and, as genghis said saved Schumacher's bacon. For me the most important heat off the day was England v Scotland, and Button v Coulthard in the nations cup, and Button/England won comfortably. Only to have Germany in the next round and lose. Although Button did come very very close to beating Schumacher. This however is the second time I have been to wembley and seen Germany beat England All in all it was a great day out. The entertainment between events was superb and included stunt drivers and the brilliant Red Bull X-Fighters, who do freestyle motocross. There was also a very touching tribute to Colin McRae. My highlight of the day was DC and Vettel going round in their F1 cars and doing doughnuts right in front of where I was sitting, it was magical. Although amazingly enough with Red bull, DC had a bit of car trouble and had to be pushed half way round the track to get back to the pits

Revenge? From planetf1:
Seven-time F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher is set to return to London's Wembley Stadium in December for the Race of Champions, organisers said.
Following a successful event last year Wembley will once again host the competition with brings together drivers from F1, World Rally, World Touring Car, NASCAR and DTM to see just who is the best.
However, the event is about more than just winning says Schumacher, who was beaten by Mattias Ekstrom in last year's final.
"The great thing about The Race of Champions is whether you win or lose, it's a lot of fun," said the German.
"All the drivers really enjoy themselves and, because they're so close to the action, the crowd love it too."
This year prices have been slashed after high ticket prices last year led to Wembley being only half full.
Tickets for the event have already gone on sale, with adult prices starting at under £15, including a 20% discount if bought before July 31.
Event organiser president Fredrik Johnsson added: "British fans have a great passion for motorsport, and really embraced The Race of Champions when we brought the event to the UK for the first time last year.
"We looked at proposals from several venues around the world, but as Wembley is such a unique and fantastic venue, plus the fact we got extremely positive feedback from spectators last December, it was the best choice for 2008."
I might even consider going to this one.

Apparently, one fan can win the "ride of a lifetime" with Schumacher at the Race of Champions. I think it's best if I don't comment (but I might enter!)
