Time for the final showdown, and only two questions matter - can Massa steal the World Championship in front of his home fans, and can Hamilton keep a cool head to take his maiden title? Showers are expected, and race organisers have made some last minute changes to the surface of the track to improve drainage amid fears it could break up under heavy water. I guess it won't be able to take all of Hamilton's tears when Massa steals his dream? Ooh I'm feeling naughty today.

I guess it won't be able to take all of Hamilton's tears when Massa steals his dream? Well if it rains, it should be another hilarious Massa performance.

For the sake of the credibility of F1 and also the reputation of Michael Schumacher (who, despite the constant digs, is actually the best second driver I've seen behind Ayrton Senna), I hope Massa doesn't become World Champion.
Let it rain hard - and we'll see what a wally Massa is again. ;D ;D

Why for Schumacher's reputation?

Why for Schumacher's reputation? Because it shows that ANY half-decent driver can win the championship in a Ferrari, and therefore lessens the impact of Schumacher's five straight championships with the Italian team. Massa is probably not even amongst the best 10 drivers currently in F1.

I see Massa is staring to crack under the pressure - labelling Eddie Jordan as a nobody. We should have a competition on how many times Massa will spin on Sunday if it's wet. I'll go for seven. ;D EDITED: because that didn't make any sense - even by my standards.

So with no speedway to keep me entertained this Sunday , i shall have to make do with this . Wouldn't it be hilarious , and in keeping with the farcical nature of this sport , if Raikkonen ran Hamilton off at the 1st turn , leaving Massa to win the title . Can you imagine the fall-out from that Would make Max Mosely's wee soiree with the nazi-clad call girls seem like a old ladies coffee morning .

It's 1-1. Hamilton went faster in first practise, but Massa replied this evening with a quicker time himself. However, fastest man overall was Alonso.
Seems Lewis once again finds himself on the receiving end of abuse, after a website was set up in Spain. The following is from planet-f1:
The website carries the name Pincha la Rueda de Hamilton, which translates as Burst Hamilton's Tyre.
Visitors to the site, with 20,000 to date, are encouraged to drop imaginary nails, pins or porcupines on a mock-up of the Interlagos circuit.
A notice on the site reads: "Hamilton can't finish the race. We have to stop him however we can.
"All you have to do is choose a spike, place it where you want on the circuit and hope he suffers a historic puncture."
On leaving the website, an automated message informs visitors: "We hope Hamilton punctures thanks to your help."
However, it is the many putrid comments which also feature on the site which have forced the FIA into issuing a strongly-worded statement of denunciation.

Nice to see Alonso distance himself from the comments - and make it clear that his differences are with the McLaren instead of Hamilton. Maybe he's not so bad after all. Schumi, Hamilton isn't really racing Massa this weekend, though, is he, so it doesn't matter who is fastest between the two. In fact, he needs to stay away from Massa, who as Japan demonstrated, will punt him off at the first opportunity. Hamilton just needs to qualify well and then drive a boring race in third place. Anyway, are you joining in the Massa "Spin Competition" if it rains.

No, but if you're running a "will Couthard finish in his final GP" competition, then I'm in. Too any variables for this race, and too many erratic drivers who need to keep a clear head, but are more likely to pull off some weird and dodgy move that ends in tears. I don't expect both McLarens and both Ferraris to finish the race - put it that way. Qualifying starts today at 4pm, with the race tomorrow at 5pm.

Hey, DC is a legend, passing a certain German driver for the lead while giving him the finger at the same time remains one of funniest things I've seen in F1. ;D And if he doesn't finish tomorrow, I hope he at least does it in style by taking off both Ferraris and therefore handing the constructors title to his old friends at McLaren.
