It would now be a travesty if he didn't clinch the championship, as he would be 14 points clear if not for the amended results in Belguim and Japan. And if Hamilton hadn’t ploughed into the back of the stationary Ferrari in Canada, Kimi could have only been five points down going into China, and still in with a chance of retaining his crown. Schumi, your maths isn't too hot - Raikkonen was more than 15 points behind going into China (And how did he escape any kind of penatly for almost shunting Sutil into the harbour in Monaco ) Anyway, my post was about the post-race CHANGED results - not what has happened during the course of a race. It won't be Massa who wins the championship, it will be the stewards who won it for him. For the credibility of the sport (or waht remains of it) I hope Hamilton wins.

Genghis, to answer your question from the BSF, Heikki Kovalainen moved aside to allow Lewis through in Germany.

Genghis, to answer your question from the BSF, Heikki Kovalainen moved aside to allow Lewis through in Germany. Schumi, that was very different to what happened in China. Hamilton was on the charge in Germany - and closed in on Kovalainen. And then gained a further four points for his team's constructors total by passing Massa and Piquet. Kovalainen didn't have to slow down. On the other hand, Massa was completely unable to get anywhere near to Raikkonen, and Raikonnen had to give up about 10 seconds to let Massa through. As I said, had McLaren done what Ferrari did in China, they would have been thrown out of both championships. But Ferrari can get away with anything.
