Okay, three more races to go, and this weekend we’re in Japan. Lewis Hamilton takes with him a 7 point advantage (yes, I’m sure ) over Felipe Massa, and he’ll be hoping to extend that lead further. Early indications from practise are that Hamilton has a slight edge over the Ferrari, but set-ups will play a part. Thank goodness Ferrari have ditched that awful pit system, but you can’t help but wonder how the championship would have looked had they abandoned it the first time they had problems with it, rather than leaving it and hoping it wouldn’t happen again. Interestingly, the third placed man in the championship is Robert Kubica in the BMW, and the battle for the constructor’s title is down to just one point – McLaren lead Ferrari. ITV programme for the qualifiers is showing at 2pm, and the programme for the race on Sunday begins at 3pm. In other news, it seems that even a brand such as Formula One isn’t immune to the credit crunch, with Mosley claiming that the sport may only survive one more year if it doesn’t introduce dramatic spending cuts. Teams will meet with Mosley after the Chinese GP to discuss a solution to curb operating costs throughout the season. And finally, Force India are in talks with McLaren to provide them with engines and technical support for next year.

Maybe he should cut down to only three prostitutes at any one time.

I think it's 3 and 4pm, but don't quote me on that. I'd be watching by 2:30 tomorrow, just to be on the safe side - and you can flick over to the Beeb for the snooker in between.

The incident involving Massa and Bourdais to be investigated after the race. Why? There’s still 12 laps to go. There’s nothing worse than finding out the race result has been changed when it could so easily be looked at now.

From the BBC website it looks like Bourdais has been penalised 25 seconds for Massa running in to him. This promotes Massa to 7th and only 5 points behind Lewis. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/7665745.stmWhy didn't they just give him a drive through penalty in the race, or would that not have ensured the Ferrari driver gain a place. Also, it is sad that drivers can't do anything without fear of an investigation or penalty.
