Shall I bother saying anything about this one, or has everyone given up?

Shall I bother saying anything about this one, or has everyone given up? Monza... Ferrari's back yard... we may as well fill in the result now.

I predict Lewis Hamilton to win the race from Kovalainen and Kubica, but all three to be disqualified for having the wrong colour cars and Massa to "win" the race.
Glad I'm not in the country on Sunday, and don't have to watch this shit.
And then I won't be getting up early for any of the non-European races.

Okay, that's one less thread I have to worry about. It is a shame Schumi, because I have enjoyed reading your pre and post race write ups, so thank you for doing them until the sport completely lost it for good.

Well, well, well. Bit of rain sorting out the men from the mice - and Hamilton starts 15th with Raikkonen 14th.

Well, well, well. Bit of rain sorting out the men from the mice - and Hamilton starts 15th with Raikkonen 14th. Should make things more interesting than normal then, even if the right end result will be 'arranged' in some way. I always think it's more fun to start near the back of the grid than to be on pole. That's the problem when you start to become successful.

Vettel's on pole, with Kovalainen second. We need a wet race - Hamilton was appalling today.

Saying that, Massa managed to at least qualify in the top 10, which is more than can be said for the other two - Hamilton was three seconds slower than Raikkonen, but he made a huge mistake by going with intermediate tyres. Why he chose them I have no idea - everyone knew the rain was going to get worse. I suppose it's Ferrari's fault. Anyway, it should be much more interesting with a mixed up grid. With so much ammunition against F1 with regards to Ferrari bias, I don't expect there to be any today. In fact, you can almost guarantee it. Not one single driver thinks the stewards were wrong to penalise Hamilton for his move on Raikkonen in Spa, but everyone (apart from Massa) can see the damage the inconsistent decisions are doing. I don't expect them to make that mistake again - even on Ferrari's "home" track in front of the Tifosi.

Race is about to start - should be a cracker. It's raining and starting behind the safety car.

1..S Vettel 2..H Kovalainen 3..R Kubica 4..F Alonso 5..N Heidfeld 6..F Massa 7..L Hamilton 8..M Webber
What a great race for Vettel, who became the youngest driver ever to win a GP, and also took Toro Rosso's first ever win.
Only one thing to say - Hamilton and Coulthard are liabilities. But at least Coulthard has a sense of humour.

Only one thing to say - Hamilton and Coulthard are liabilities. Hamilton's race was screwed by the unscheduled stop to change tyres, but still made up 8 places compared to Massa who didn't manage to improve his grid position. Don't know what Gerhard Berger has done to turn around Minardi, but he must be doing something right.
