The new race on the calendar, and it's a street circuit, so I'm looking forward to this one. There's been a three week ban on testing, although three teams have managed to get around this (no, not Ferrari!), so Friday practise will be important for everyone to test out their set-ups.
Force India are going to introduce their new "seamless shift" gearbox, so it'll be interesting to see if it makes any difference to their race, although one would assume it wont have their rivals overly worried.
I guess the question will be what kind a reception Lewis Hamilton gets after he was the victim of racist slurs from Spanish supporters earlier in the season. Expect severe penalties if this happens again. Reports say that Lewis was robbed otuside his hotel last weekend - thieves stole his rucksack containing an i-pod as he and his girlfriend checked out.
So can Ferrari beat the McLarens? Find out on Saturday.

Nice to see Alonso flop in front of his home crowd. Looks like another Massa-Hamilton shootout tomorrow - no doubt Hamilton will hope for rain given Massa's comedy performance at Silverstone. And Raikkonen may as well retire - he's been the best driver in F1 since 2003, but not anymore. There's something missing - and I think it's desire.

It will be interesting to see what penalty McLaren get as a result of Ferrari's Massa being released into the path of another car during his second pitstop. Most certainly Ferrari won't be punished. They never are.

Is that it? Another set of stewards in the pocket of Ferrari - any other team would've been facing a grid penalty.

Well it's more than you said they'd get.
Have to say, I do think there should have been a penalty but not to the driver - it should be up to the team to ensure he's released safely. However, the rules state the onus is on the driver – ridiculous really. But not as ridiculous as waiting until after the race to decide on the penalty. Massa should have been given a drive through penalty, and then the chance to race to make up his lost positions.

Ferrari bias once again - not surprising.

Another sad day for F1 - as yet again a Ferrari driver escapes without penalty (I don't count the fine as a penalty, $10,000 is nothing to a top driver). The precedent was set after Hamilton's mistake in Canada - Massa should be given a ten-place grid penalty at the next race. What a load of fucking bollocks. Hope more than ever that Big Ron, Lewis and McLaren can beat those bunch of complete wankers at Ferrari.

As I said, it should be the team penalised, not Felipe. And I'm not so sure the fine is "nothing" to him - he's on considerably less than KR.

Like i said previously, we shouldnt be too surprised that the governing bodies have shown bias towards Ferrari yet again.

Take those Ferrari tinted specs off and look again. Massa should have a ten-place grid penalty for the next race. The precedent has been set - it wasn't just Hamilton penalised after Canada, remember?
