So the circus finally comes home, with Lewis Hamilton flying the flag for his country. We don't mention the others - they're crap. Apparently it's a sell-out 90,000 capacity crowd, although it would be interesting to see how many of those places were allocated for corporate hospitality, and how many actually turn up. One note to mention is that it could be DC's final British GP, so let's hope he has a good one to take some happy memories into retirement. In fact, he's the last British driver to win at Silverstone, in 2000. Raikkonen is taking his one allocated "free" engine change after fears his broken exhaust at Magny Cours might have damaged the unit. Qualifying starts at 1pm on Saturday 5th July, with the race on Sunday at the same time.

I never realised it was the British GP this Sunday And Glasgow don't have a meeting on Sunday so i'll get to watch it . Will we need to suffer the usual shite coming from that little troll , Bernie Ecclestone , about Silverstone being a shithole and if it doesn't improve this will be the last British GP .

Schumi, so a driver who has won 13 races and finished as high as second in the World Championship is crap? Meanwhile, I hope Lewis has a good one - and gets the fucking tabloids to shut up.

He says that every year, and the following year the race is always back at Silverstone.

More like he can't wring any more money of the British GP, and he has an Arab emir in the wings who's more than prepared to pay the stupid asking rate. However, knocking the British GP off the calendar is just a bit too difficult to do politically, what with half the F1 teams either at the track or just down the road. I must say that Silverstone has never been one of my favourite tracks for either watching or viewing (Brands Hatch is far superior in that respect), but I find it hard to believe it can be worse than some others that have been on the circuit in recent years.

Schumi, so a driver who has won 13 races and finished as high as second in the World Championship is crap? 13 wins? Wow, that’s impressive, considering he’s started in over 230 GPs and been going some 14 years. Anyway, you know I was kidding. I like his character – not afraid to say what he thinks, and usually amuses too.

Well, it would have been more wins, but that dodgy German in the red car kept running into the back of him.

And the last time a F1 race was held at Donnington, the winner produced what I consider the greatest drive in F1 history.

Ferrari have well and truly lost the plot in a shameful performance. Drivers of the day have to be Heidfeld and Barrichello, even though Honda did their best to mess up the latter’s race.
Good to see some rain because it made this probably the most enjoyable race so far.

I know you're anti-Lewis, but surely that's taking things slightly too far. Missed the race today as couldn't turn down the chance of triple time at work. But looking forward to the highlights later on.
