But i'm getting increasingly irritated by the southern bias shown by Sky . Christ they hardly even go to Belle Vue when showing EL .

Am I reading too much into it that it's on a Tuesday........as I'm dreaming of EL Mondays and PL Tuesdays.........am I dreaming a lonely dream?

Dont get carried away Kev . Rye v IOW was the only Monday PL match -sorry mismatch - on Sky last year and that was a bank holiday Monday . The other two meetings were on a Tuesday .

That's my point though Paulco............Sky could cover EL on Mondays and PL on Tuesdays, historically these have been the days when the respective leagues have been covered on Sky, generally speaking.

Well, northern promoters know what they need to do..... throw a Horton, ie jump up & down, stamping feet & screaming "it's not fair!!!!" Reading v Rye meetings at Smallmead have generally been good close meetings in the past. Just hope that the meeting does the PL proud and who knows, once Sky cop a load of Mad Wellie they might decide he's a star in the making & replace Pearson with him. ;D Not sure that regular PL meetings on a Tuesday would work Kev, it's generally a Dog Racing night at most tracks - Smallmead included. I guess they've worked around it for this meeting as the Dogs race on B/H monday mornings instead of the Tuesday evening.

You could well be right........stadium availability could cause a few problems............ however isn't it starange that all the EL tracks have managed to stage Monday meetings over the years. Even if only around 30% of PL could stage Tuesday meetings, it would be worth it - that would be about six venues........only three less than the current EL has.

Quoted for the truth What you're saying can't be argued with, but I'd bet BV have had more televised meetings in the last couple of years than Ipswich. I'm sure now that Crump is back at Kirky Lane, Sky will be making a few more visits this year!!!

Sky seem to have some Eastbourne-esque liking for Rye House.
