I would like to nominate Nicki Pedersen for his performance in tonight’s Bronze medal meeting in Poland. He came off his bike, hit his head on the track, had the rider (and bike) behind hit him, laid on the track for some time whilst the medics attended to him, stumbled back to the pits, and he STILL came out to win the very next heat. The man is amazing.

Well I would like to nominate speedway fans, well the speedway family I suppose you could say. These are the people who donate to the lads who have been injured, and not just to the riders from their specific teams, but from up and down the country. In a minor capacity, I have been involved in Kim Jansson's benefit fund, and the generosity of folk is astounding. Take a bow you speedway fans....and a BIG THANK YOU to all who have contributed to Kim's fund. Oh and Chris Schramm you truly are a star

Paulco - yeah I know, but I thought it would help cheer up Schumi and maybe the Evil Dane should end up with the Mutt's Nuts in the week he secures his third World Championship. Schumi - you've got to wait until Saturday evening before you pick him though

I would like to nominate all the Reading fans, for putting up such a brave face, despite the fact the Racers haven taken to the track for the final time at Smallmead.
We, at Oxford, know how you feel, although at least we have the consolation that our stadium is still there.
Good luck to the Racers - I sincerely hope that you are back in 2010 at a new stadium, although my head tells me you could have a much longer wait than that.

Cheers Genghis, but after last night it's more a relief that we don't have to see our club insulted any further at the moment. I'm still very, very pissed off about the lack of commitment most of our team showed last night & generally thoughout the whole season.

We've had our fair share of fun with Swindon fans too over the years. The banter has been missed this year with neither Swindon or Oxford racing in the same league as Reading. We gave it a bit of a go with the Somerset fans, but bless they're a sensitive bunch and haven't quite got the fight in them yet to retaliate. 5 league titles in 40 years ain't a bad record to reflect on. Just think Horton fan's been around the same amount of time & hasn't seen his team lift the league championship once. ;D

And they did win the PL Fours... when it was held at Swindon. League championships won: Oxford 7 (5 first division) ;D ;D Reading 5 (4 first division) Swindon 3 (2 first division)

Schumi - you've got to wait until Saturday evening before you pick him though Gelsenkirchen being off kind of pissed on my parade. Can I have another week, please? OK Schumi. Looking at this thread - I think the worthiest winner is those who contributed towards Kim Jansson's fund. Therefore, they are the winners this week, and Schumi now chooses next week.
