I thought he had gone to california for the usa championship thingy, where is he then ? Exactly. The USA meeting was on the 20th. I'll give billy the benefit of doubt this time, if the meeting was saturday night and had lets say a 10pm finish, that would be 6am sunday morning here, i dont know where the meeting was but if it was where hancock won a couple of years ago you have a fair journey to the nearest airport then a conecting flight to los angeles before the flight home. Greg had to travel back for the playoff second leg between the panthers and bulldogs he must have had an horrendous trip and can have been in no fit state to ride, so with safety paramount, i suggest billy's absence tonight is a very wise move.

R/R for Stead, who failed a fitness test, The Messiah guesting for Janniro, and Hauzinger replaced by Parsons. Is that Shane on the telly tonight ? ;D

Usual pap from the Elite League and the usual pap refereeing decisions from a SCB referee.

Hang on - we've seen riders touch the tapes this year with their helmet, and been told it was fine as long as no part of the bike caused the offence. Now Ronnie Allen says it's a tapes infringement?

I'd always understood that it was any part of bike or rider?

I'd always understood that it was any part of bike or rider? That's what I thought, which is why I remember it. I queried it at the time, but the rider was allowed to take his place in the re-run. Either way, one of them is wrong, and this ref is terribly inconsistent.

The standard of refereeing in this country is a disgrace - shocking performance from what passes as a referee tonight. You're left with the feeling he's been bought. It's a fucking disgrace, it really is.
