Potentially a huge signing for the Racers. Krzysztof Buczkowski scored very well for parent club Bydgoszcz against Zielona Gora at the famous Polonia circuit yesterday. He's been a rare bright spot in a miserable season for Bydgoszcz and could bring some rays of sunshine to the Reading faithful during what has been a fairly miserable season for them.

Wellie was spotted talking to a young Pole at Swindon a few weeks back. Looks like this could be a possibility then.
Replacement for Hancock maybe? As Sube has said before it'll be double standards on the part of the BSPA if they allow us to bring in a new rider in place of an existing one and still operate a facility for Hancock.
Edit: Looks like he's due to make his Racers debut next Monday, and possibly live on SKY as we're away to Coventry that day.

A word of caution. Swindon supposedly signed Balinski a couple of years back according to Polish websites, but it turned out to be bollocks. Then they signed Jederzek (or however you spell it) to the degree where he actually had his race suit made, only for the rug to pulled from under from his Polish club.
I'd wait until it's confirmed and he's there riding, but all being well he'll turn up. It's always interesting to see how these young Poles do. I'd imagine it's for Hancock - unless Zagar's done a runner!

Possibly just a stop gap to see us through the end of the season Grachan.
Guess we'll know at 7:30 tonight if it's for Hancock or Zagar.
If Zagar is out on parade then more likely he's replacing Hancock, if there's no Zagar again tonight, then I hope Wellie has his steel toe caps on when he kicks his arse out of the club.

He's lucky if he scheduled for ten more meetings this Summer. I would not suprise me if Polonia were the ones to ok the deal.

Confirmed tonight by Wellie that we have signed KB. Every other avenue tried, Michael Max said "maybe next year" as did a few other riders. Nobody interested in coming to the UK at the present time so it seems.
Reading team to be re-declared with KB coming in on a 4 point average and probably lining up at reserve with Sam Simota with Zagar & McGowan taking the heat leader roles.

Seems Janusz has a higher average than Travis at the moment so will take the 2nd heat leader role with Zagar from next Monday. Local news on Readings new polish signing taken from www.getreading.co.ukRACERS have signed Polish rider Krzysztof Buczkowski. The 21-year-old will make his Elite League debut at Coventry next Monday. He fills the vacancy caused by Greg Hancock’s recent departure. But as co-promoter Malcolm Holloway says: “He is not a straight replacement for Greg. “Greg is a world-class rider and the new boy will be coming in on a four or five point average – we are not sure which yet. “But long term he could prove an excellent asset and at the moment we want to build up our assets.” Holloway added: “Krzysztof is skint and so knows he has to fight hard to earn his money. But that’s the sort of rider I like. “He is very keen and looking forward to riding for us. “We have checked through his dates, and I think we will be available for the rest of our fixtures.” Buczkowski rides for Bydgoszcz in the Polish League and for Smederna in the Swedish Elite League. He was recently sidelined through injury but has proved his fitness with useful scores for both clubs, including 11 points from six rides for Bydgoszcz, where his team-mates include Racer Jonas Davidsson. Racers will be forced to reshuffle their side to accommodate the Pole. Matej Zagar is likely to ride at No. 1 with Janusz Kolodziej moving into a heat-leader role. “This may weaken our team a bit but we have no choice,” added Holloway following last night’s win over Ipswich.
