Is Mildenhall some kind of detention camp or prison sentence? You'd think so reading this.
From The Argus:
Lewis Bridger looks like riding for Eastbourne Eagles until the end of the season.
But it would be premature to start thinking all is now sweetness and light again between the unpredictable 18-year-old racer and his Elite League club.
Bridger did not totally convince in defeat by Poole last week, the first meeting of his reprieve after initially being told he would not feature for the Eagles again this season.
Martin Hagon, who, as co-promoter does not have sole responsibility for making such decisions, wanted to loan Bridger out to a (second tier) Premier League track. By contrast, Bridger sees his immediate future as a top-flight international rider.
Hagon insists his young rider would have been better forgetting Europe until 2010 and concentrating on Elite and Premier racing over here until then.
The Premier League club to whom Hagon had offered Bridger’s services was Mildenhall, out in the wilds of the Fens and with the worst record in speedway, 24 defeats from as many meetings.
Now that would have been some punishment.

It'd have done the little shit good. Score some points, help Mildenhall a bit, and hopefully build his confidence. I can only see him in the Premier League next season anyway.

It says in the Speedway Star that he refused . Actually Mildy, I would have thought you had enough injury worries this season without allowing that loose cannon on your track

.....By contrast, Bridger sees his immediate future as a top-flight international rider. I assume he sees this is in his dreams or after a hard nights drinking....talk about trying to race the big boys before you have mastered how to stay on your bike for four laps
