IOW press release:
A night of fun, thrills and, no doubt, the totally unexpected for everyone to enjoy is promised to be the agenda this coming Tuesday evening (August 19th) at the Wave 105 Smallbrook Stadium at Ashey Road, Ryde on the sunshine Isle of Wight.
That's when the skipper of the Island's Wightlink Islanders Premier League speedway team Jason Bunyan celebrates his first ten years participation in the rough, tough sport of speedway that involves racing highly tuned 500cc motorycles with no brakes on oval loose shale tracks and the man himself is inviting young and old alike to come along, help him celebrate AND, most importantly - have fun!
His Testimonial 'Bike Mania' gets underway at 7pm and promises to give all, whatever their age, plenty to see and marvel at, laugh and enjoy including the main 'Global Pairs' speedway event (see below), a stunt show, sidecar action, 21 years old Islander and World No.2 female Motorcycle Trials rider Becky Cook demonstrating her brilliant skills, vintage motorcycle racing, Novelty events - speedway riders racing minibikes against big blokes on speedway bikes AND driving in a Car Demolition derby to become the Wave 105 Arena Derby Champion, fireworks and much, much more! And those attending can also, whatever age, can take part in various activities too with there being both kids AND Adults "Action Arenas."
"My message to everyone is to come along and help me have fun and have fun themselves," said Jason, "and my intention is to show how I think speedway should be.
"If I go out I would expect a whole night of entertainment for my hard earned cash and that is what my organising crew and I intend to serve up - something different, entertainment from start to finish in the process for all to enjoy including the kids, something to laugh at and some of the fastest riders in the World coming to the race at largest speedway in England!"
Again a reminder that it all starts at 7pm and admission prices will be those for a normal speedway night i.e. Adults £13, Concessions £10, Children (accompanied by paying adult): Aged 10-15 inclusive £10, Aged 5 to 9 inclusive £2, Under 5s FREE.
GLOBAL PAIRS TITLE UP FOR GRABS...
