As Oxford went to the wall, owner Colin Horton was nowhere to be seen, leaving his minnion Aaron Lanney to handle the fall out. Anyone notice a similarity with the current situation with the Bulldogs? As things near their denouement, owner John Postlethwaite is nowhere to be seen and his minnion Jim Lynch is left to face the media. Postlethwaite has to have lost much of his lingering credibility with the poor deluded souls who follow speedway. Still, why should he care, apart from the enormous losses he's suffered in Royal Berkshire? A comfortable office awaits him at IMG - well, for the time being anyway. Then they'll realise what they've bought.
