EDINBURGH "SCOTWASTE" MONARCHS1. Mark Lemon (G) 2. Derek Sneddon (C) 3. Thomas H. Jonasson R/R 4. Matthew Wethers 5. Ryan Fisher 6. Andrew Tully 7. Aaron Summers MILDENHALL "BARMY ARMY" FEN TIGERS1. Sebastian Truminski 2. Lee Smart 3. Theo Pijper 4. Michal Rajkowski R/R 5. Jan Graversen 6. Marek Mroz 7. Mitchell Davey (G) Hopefully the track gets a chance to dry out after the continual 2-3 days of heavy rain Sad to say this won't be a close match but in Theo Pijper the Tigers have someone who knows the Dale very well and he should serve up some good racing. Updates will be on the Monarchs Chatzone.

3. Thomas H. Jonasson R/R It's the Swedish Championships - surely even you can forgive him for missing that. And I noticed your signature when you changed it.

Not quite but will the Grand Prix do instead? See, I said there would be something. ML - I assume the Swedish U19 Underwater Paris is the following week. What's this underwater tournament and why would it be held in Paris? Although there were a number of processional heats during the match against Mildenhall, there were some good ones too. particularly heat 5 when the crowd were shocked to watch Lee Smart and Sebastian Truminski shoot from the gate to a 5-1 position. We all expected the Fen Tigers duo to be picked off but it was by no means a simple task and it took vintage Wethers a couple of laps to produce his party piece twice to get to the front. Tully passed Truminski and although he reeled Smart in there wasn't enough race left for him to get past him. Theo Pijper's win in heat 12 was also a good one with Wethers this time unable to pass the track record holder. Theo also had an excellent ride earlier when he chased down and passed Derek Sneddon for second. But what made the meeting was the fantastic support the visitors had from their loyal band of 'Barmy Army' fans. They were brilliant cheering every point the visitors got as though it were a league winning performance. We've had some fabulous visiting supporters at Armadale this year - Redcar (twice), Rye House, Birmingham and now Mildenhall. What a difference they make to the atmosphere. They transcend even what might be considered mundane meetings to a new level and make the evening so enjoyable for everyone. Thanks 'Barmy Army' - you'll be welcome back at the Dale anytime. Good luck with the other two matches on your tour at Berwick tonight and Newcastle tomorrow. If meetings were decided on enthusiasm and fans enjoyment you'd surely be returning home with some tangible reward. What a great surprise for me to meet the one and only BSF (oops did I say a dirty word?) forum moderator from Australia, Sir Lunchalot, and Ron Marm too. I had a long chat with both in the bar afterwards - what a pleasure. Also as Ylinenhare5-1 says, it seems unbelievable that we only met for the first time last night given the number of meetings we must have both attended. Pleasure to meet you sir. Finally last night was like an oasis in the desert (or should it be desert in the oasis?) as far as the weather was concerned. Two days of torrential (at times) rain followed by a warm sunny day yesterday left the track in excellent condition - smooth and grippy. In fact they were watering it when I arrived! Today it's back to the wet stuff. Hopefully it will dry up before Mondays night's TV match on Sky. The camera towers have been erected on the terracing next to the first, second and third bends and the view from them you'll find is quite spectacular, views of the racing never before seen at the track. Sky are bringing 11 cameras and if the racing is as good as the track was last night and the excitement which is building then we're in for a great night.

Merlin - just my little joke. With a typo in there as usual. Seriously though, I hope it goes well on Monday. Hopefully it will encourage Sky to up their coverage of the Premier League further. I've had my fill of the Elite League after the Hans Andersen debacle and the way the BSPA bowed down to Horton. I'm not sure I'll even want to watch it on Sky anymore.

EDINBURGH "SCOTWASTE" MONARCHS..69
1..Mark Lemon..[G]..3,2',3,1 = 9+1 2..Derek Sneddon..[C]..2',3,3,3,1 = 12+1 3..Thomas H Jonasson..R/R 4..Matthew Wethers..2',3,2',2,3 = 12+1 5..Ryan Fisher..3,3,2',3,3 = 14+1 6..Andrew Tully..2',1,2',3,3,2',2' = 15+4 7..Aaron Summers..3,1,2',1' = 7+2
MILDENHALL "BARMY ARMY" FEN TIGERS..21
1..Sebastian Truminski..1,0,1,2,0 = 4 2..Lee Smart..0,2,1,0 = 3 3..Theo Pijper..1,1,2,3,1,1 = 9 4..Michal Rajkowski..R/R 5..Jan Graversen..0,2,1,0,0 = 3 6..Marek Mroz..1,0,0,0 = 1 7..Mitchell Davey..[G]..0,0,0,1,0,0 = 1
Despite the scoreline there were a few good races with plenty of passing on a track that was in great nick considering the huge amount of rain we had in the days leading up to the meeting.
But the best bit of it all was the atmosphere produced by the "Barmy Army". What a credit they were to their team and it was great to see the Mildenhall riders and management reward their fans with a walk down to the first/second bend to applaud their fans. Nice touch guys.
