Paulco's legendary Notes: Ok sports fans , in the absence of Team GB this is a bit of an anti-climax , but we'll soldier on with the updates ( as long as this laptop behaves itself ) .
Eyes down in half an hour or so .
Looks to be raining quite heavily .
1..Holta from the gate , but Evil Dane and Mr Clean were soon past .
2 . Brilliant gate from Jagus and he won by a mile
3 . Rerun without Ljung as he loses control and sends Crump into the fence . Poor old Gollob had the race under control as well . Poland impressive early on .
Crump struggling with a hand injury as The Messiah is interviewed by Chris Louis .
Superb race between Gollob and Crump . According to Gollob the 1st corner is shit .
4 Sullivan gated , but couldn't hold Lindgren ( who is the only Swede not to be put off by Miss White's huge breasts )
5 Another electric gate from the Poles .
6 Best race of the night brought to a premature end as watt and Lindgren collide . Lindgren exc . He was out of control as Watt collided with him , but a hard one for the ref . Up front Gollob had easily taken care of the evil Dane , but has to do it all again .
No mistake from the evil Dane second time round as he flies from the tapes to win easily .
7 Another rerun . Mr Clean from the start , but B Pedersen slides into the fence and it's all 4 back . Killing time waiting for the rerun so they have Sudden Sam on talking complete pish .
Walasek from the gate , but they all passed him one by one .
8 Sloppy start , but a good race between Hampel and Holder . Holder ahead for 2 laps , but Hampel is a man inspired tonight .
9 Another dodgy 1st bend results in Lindgren being left clear and away . Crump pulled out of the meeting
10 Jagus the demon gater . Another flyer and he was away and gone .
Verbal nonsense from his sudden-ness again .
Pissing down again in Vojens and his Sudden-ness announces it will now not suit the Poles . They must be certainties then ;D
11 Evil Dane from the gate and away as the other 3 slide all over the place . Walasek and Holder doing the waltz at the back .
Delay now to wait for the rain to stop .
More verbal nonsense , so i'm away for a can of beer .
12 Flukey Denmark get a reprieve . Hampel leading from Holder and Lindgren with B Pedersen well adrift , but Holder loses it and falls and is exc , so the race will be rerun .
Lindgren from the gate in the rerun
13 Davidsson from the gate , Sullivan second but raced like a novice to let the other two riders through .
14 Jagus superb from the gate again . Think the Aussies just want to go home now .
15 Andersen from Nermark from the gate , but Nermark all over the place and is soon at the back .
Can that Georgy lassie not find anybody else to talk to other than the prince of verbal mince .
Oh fuck me the bloody rapper is back
16 Evil Dane gated , but pirouetted on the 1st bend and lost the lead as Davidsson flew past to win easy .
17 B Pedersen in control before sliding all over the place allowing Gollob to get close . Neck and neck between the two on the last bend before classic Gollob gets up on the line . BP doing a bit of whinging however , but Gollob couldn't care less . Comedy stuff from Sullivan at the back .
18 Riders really struggling now with Watt , Bjerre and Walasek all disappearing into the fence at different parts of the 1st/2nd bend . All 4 back .
Bjerre from the gate . Walasek really didn't want to know
19 Easy for Hampel . Ljung fell on the 3rd lap , but cleared the track just in time .
20 Could be a critical race . Holta gates but is all over the place . Meantime Andersen hits the front ( on 1 wheel ) and does Lindgren no favours . Holta gradually falls back through the field to last place .
21 Rerun required again . Hampel gates , but vintage evil Dane flies along the back straight to take the lead . Hampel completely shellshocked by this just rides into the fence and is exc . Tide now firmly turned in the Danes favour .
Evil Dane basically makes an arse of the rerun and cant even beat Sullivan
Now we have a power cut to contend with as some of the lights are out . Thankfully his sudden-ness seems to have disappeared .
22 Brilliant gating by Bjarne Pedersen .
23 Easy for Bjerre . Danes almost there , but last throw off the dice for Poland in the next . Gollob is the joker .
24 It's all over . Holder leading , but packs up leaving Iversen in the lead . Gollob tries everything , but the track doesn't help and there's no way past .
Well done to Denmark
25 Walasek takes lessons from the weirdity to win the last heat after being crap all night .
Thank you and goodnight
