Well BV seem to have found a little gem in Hougaard, good for them, mind you if you listened to Tatum, he rode in pretty much all of the heats Thought Steady had a better meeting, mind you he was gifted one or two points wasn't he . Barker a gutsy little rider too, can see why Coventry think so much of him. I like these close meetings, when it doesn't involve my team ;D

Good team riding Charlie. Not. Aww come on grachan, you know as well as I do that the Cheeseman can only team ride if he's the one being helped round. Even then he can still screw it up. Noticed Schein shaking his head as if in disapproval of Messing who went from 2nd to 4th in heat 4. Didn't see him working too hard to help his partner home during the race. Good home debut from Hougaard, Wellie was gutted that he slipped through our fingers this season and you can see why.

I didn't think it was the classic some folk on the BSF seem to think it was . Too many riders getting caught out by the track , and too many races won by the length of the straight . On a personal note - was looking forward to see how Robert Ksiezak got on , but instead we got Nick bloody Simmons .

Some dirty riding from Bomber again I thought ...... I didn't see it that way to be honest, excluding him was definately the correct decision without doubt but I think he ran in a bit too hard and couldn't avoid Forsberg once he had made the original mistake. Did anybody else get the feeling before Heat 15 that Coventry just weren't going to pull it off? I think they miss Nicholls in those situations, in league meetings you can almost guarantee he will be there or thereabouts in the first bend whereas Harris and Schlein don't bring that sort of confidence

I would have put good money on Crump coming first and Gjedde avoiding last place in heat 15... btw - don't thing Bomber is a dirty rider! just a little guy on a big powerful bike and re breaking his nose - it's hardly going to affect his looks now is it!! ugly little Cornish fucker!! ;D

Stuff the meeting. I met one of my idols last night. Tim Healy a.k.a Dennis Patterson from Auf Wiedersehen Pet. I couldn't give a monkeys about the meeting after meeting him and I couldn't resist shouting "Dennis" in Jimmy Nail/Oz style at him either.
As for the meeting itself. I was bored rigid until we went 8 down. After that it livened up for me.
I'm not going to comment on the Coventry riders or Peter Oakes tactics because that is for the Bees supporters to discuss. As for Belle Vue well I haven't seen a battling performance like that since...........well...........it'll come to me soon.............................oh I can't remember.
Crump - After a dodgy (curry possibly) meeting last week back to his best. Wright - Rode like it was his first time on the track. Still can't gate for toffee. Gjedde - Solid night from Charlie and similar to the last Sky meeting against the Witches pulls out a cracking ride in heat 15. Forsberg - Duff to start with then soon sorted himself out. Gets better every time I see him. Simmons - Think Bobby Ksiezak would have scored more but good first meeting back from injury. Nobody is expecting Nick to score 5, 6 or 7 points a meeting. Hougaard - Superb home debut. On the pace, at ease with the track. Great leg trailing style reminiscent of Joe Screen when he first joined the Aces. One for the future indeed.
Well done to the Aces on rescuing it at the very end but commiserations to the Bees. It takes 2 teams to make a match.
Had a very interesting chat with Trevor Stead after the meeting too.....which was nice. The contents of said discussion shall remain confidential.
