Teams courtesy of the press release
EDINBURGH "SCOTWASTE" MONARCHS
1. William Lawson 2. Thomas H. Jonasson R/R 3. Andrew Tully 4. Ryan Fisher 5. Matthew Wethers 6. Derek Sneddon (C) 7. Aaron Summers
STOKE "EASY RIDER" POTTERS
1. George Stancl 2. Mark Burrows 3. Ben Barker (C) 4. Klaus Jakobsen 5. Andrew Moore 6. Barrie Evans 7. Jesper Kristiansen
Should be another comfortable win for the Monarchs weather permitting. Looking forward to seeing Ben Barker who I liked the look of when he was a junior, and also the two Danes.

There doesn't appear to be any r/r next to Jonasson's name - is this correct And Stoke were due to go with Kristiansen at 4 and Jacobsen at 6 at Glasgow this evening . I'm sure Kristiansen's average is now higher than Jacobsen and Evans .

According to Zetters it WILL be R/R as Jonasson has concussion and didn't ride in Sweden tonight.

He missed his Swedish match tonight and Monarchs still hoping he might be at Stoke according to the press release. Rico edit : sorry Schumi, took me a while to put words together as I was doing other things. Clearly you posted in between me starting and posting.

Going for a brain scan, apparently. I wonder if it'll pick up his seeming Armadale phobia. Should be interesting to see whether he's at Stoke, or just keeps himself safe and sound for Poland on Sunday.

Sad thing is - Robert Ksiezak told me , about 6 weeks ago now , that he gets as much for one ride in Poland as he gets here for scoring about 10 points . So i think that might answer your question .

And the final result was a fairly comfortable win for the Monarchs (54:30). Three riders dominated the scoring for the Monarchs, with captain Derek Sneddon leading the way with 17 points from 7 rides, followed by Matthew Wethers (14+3 from 6) and Ryan Fisher (13+1 from 6). Tully (5+1 from 5), now riding at No 3, and Aaron Summers (3+1 from 4) had difficult nights, but the real concern for the title chasing Monarchs is that No 1 William Lawson crashed out of the meeting with a suspected broken collarbone in his second outing. For the Potters Ben Barker led the scoring with 13 from 5 rides, including a 6 point T/R ride, when guest George Stancl weighed in with 9 points from 5 rides. Klaus Jakobsen also scored well from reserve, with 7 points from 5 rides. But former Monarch Mark "Buzz" Burrows (1+1 from 3 rides and a 2 minute exclusion in his other programmed ride) and Jesper Kristiansen (1+1 from 4) had nights to forget. Best wishes to William Lawson for a speedy recovery.

A long drawn out meeting on what seemed an unpredictable track, certainly in the first half. It was one of these nights when things went wrong and with the law of averages it was going to happen sometime. Wounded (Will iam), walking wounded (Aaron still nursing a broken rib) and illness (Andrew being sick in the pits), just about covers it. Nasty crash for William and best wishes for a speedy recovery. We are going to miss you, especially at the Dale. Thank lord for the three muskerteers Derek, Ryan and Matthew. Ben Barker was the pick of the bunch with some good racing. Very annoyed with Mr Burrows tactics in heat 11 when he fell off then proceeded to look up see his partner was not leading and sat there only to get up when the race was stopped Best wishes also to THJ who has bleeding/bruising on the brain.
