After finishing June with a wonderful away victory at Mildenhall , we begin a new month with a re-arranged fixture against Stoke and on an unusual night - Thursday 3rd July
Glasgow Tigers 1 Carl Stonehewer (g) 2 Big Lee 3 Anders 4 Trento 5 Elite League Bobby 6 Mitchell bloody Davey 7 Trainee Messiah
Stoke Potters 1 Guest for Lee Complin 2 Buzz Burrows 3 Ben Barker 4 Jesper Kristiansen 5 Andrew Moore 6 Klaus Jacobsen 7 Barrie Evans
Referee is Dave Watters .
Now we are almost back to full strength ( well apart from not having Shane and still having Mitchell ) i'm confident we can dispose of the Potters . Sunday's away win will have done confidence the world of good and i think we can win this by at least 10 points .

I suppose the biggest question on this one is whether little Ben Barker will reduce Big Lee Dicken to tears of laughter again by trying to square up to him?

I still don't think we'll see either of them back this year . Shane's problems are well documented , while Ross Brady requires knee surgery before he can ride again .

If you don't think the Messiah will return this season, do you think it may be the end of the road? He's not getting any younger and that average he has is awfully high.

Ah well, gives you that extra bit of time to recover from that collarbone injury.

This Sunday we take on the reigning play-off champions Rye House . Teams are - Glasgow Tigers - 1 Part-time Tiger Stoney 2 Big Lee 3 Anders 4 Trent 5 EL Bobby 6 Mitchell bloody Davey 7 Trainee Messiah
Play-off Champions 1 Ex- Tiger Stefan Ekberg 2 Robert Mear 3 Tai Woffinden 4 Tommy Allen 5 Chris Neath 6 Daniel Halsey 7 Danny Betson
Referee is Margaret Vardy , assuming the Eastenders omnibus is finished by 4 p.m.
Also this Sunday a big announcement is expected . Apparently Glasgow will be announcing the first member of the 2009 Tigers . And it's a rider who has never ridden for the Tigers before , and whom the promotion are very , very excited about ........apparently .

And July is full of hope for the heathen Tigers as the "Messiah" tells the Speedway Star that he's looking to be back in action in the "not too distant future".

Actually Genghis yes he has . Mitchell and Josh were both signed on 2 year deals . But the rider in question could be Peter Juul Larsen , who done a few laps round the stadium of mince last night . If that hasn't put him off ( like it did to a certain Leon Madsen in 2005 ) he is tipped to be in the Tigers septet in 2009 .
