It's the Premier Trophy semi final 1st leg clash tonight and what a juicy prospect it's looking. The Racers have been the only team so far to run us close at home so will it be the same again tonight? I will be happy as long as Ostergaard doesn't feel the need to run across other riders lines like he did in the PL match EDINBURGH "SCOTWASTE" MONARCHS1. William Lawson 2. Thomas H. Jonasson 3. Derek Sneddon (C) 4. Matthew Wethers 5. Ryan Fisher 6. Andrew Tully 7. Aaron Summers READING RACERS1. Mark Lemon (C) 2. Chris Mills 3. Ulrich Ostergaard 4. Tomas Suchanek 5. Tom P. Madsen 6. Jamie Smith 7. Nicki Glanz Updates as usual on the Monarchs Chatzone.

And the final result was a comfortable win for the Monarchs (56:34), who now take a handy lead to Smallmead for the second leg. So, is that second leg just a formality for the boys from Auld Reekie? Well, I wouldn't say so - look what happened to Poole in the Craven Shield semi-final. For the Monarchs Andrew Tully was again the star of the show, scoring an impressive 13+4 from his 6 rides. And he was ably backed up by Messrs Fisher (12 from 5), Lawson (11 from 5), Sneddon (7+3 from 4), Wethers (8+1 from 3) and Summers (5+1 from 3). All of which leaves Thomas H Jonasson, who had a night to forget, with two exclusions and a last place. The word from the West Lothian badlands is that Jonasson decided to try riding Armadale as if it was Owlerton. And that's not a very good idea. For the Racers Lemon battled hard and kept plugging away, scoring 10 from 5 rides, but he got himself excluded when wearing black and white in Ht 11. Ostergaard had a poor meeting by his standards (8+1 from 5), while Nicki Glanz was a surprise packet, with his 6+1 from 4 rides including Tully's only defeat at the hands of an opponent.
