Witnessed a very freakish crash this afternoon at Scunny.
Benji Compton went down on his own but the cut out did not work when he parted with the bike. It then stood up on its own and run though the first fence. Then it picked its self up again revving flat out still, and headed for the outer fence and the fans.
I think that most had scattered and was not hit as it broke the through the wooden fence and totally demolished it and then finally came to a standstill. It looked horrifying. Fortunately, apart from shock, I am sure no one, thankfully was seriously injured.
Benji was slightly injured, but walked away from the incident.
