Joe Haines in for the injured Danny Warwick tomorrow on the Island. Some doubts also over the fitness of Jamie Smith who was withdrawn after his ht2 crash today with concussion and Krzysztof Stoj who crashed after crossing the line in ht15 suffering a shoulder injury. Glad you enjoyed today Rico, track wasn't great but it never is during daytime meetings at Smallmead, especially when the weather is warm. But heats 7 (Madsen/Fry), ht 9 (the magnificent Ullie) ht 14 (Glanz jnr) and ht 15 were what speedway is all about. The EL can go & stuff itself, I've not enjoyed my speedway for a good couple of years, but this season back in the PL (so far) has been great, and I say that fully expecting us to get tonked live on Sky tomorrow night.

But heats 7 (Madsen/Fry) ht 14 (Glanz jnr) Yes Wacks, apologies for missing out heat 7 especially which was a great battle. It certainly wasn't high quality speedway, but it was damn entertaining. Heat 14 was more about shock value but fair play to Glanz who after a difficult afternoon showed balls the size of baked potatoes (to quote a tv show I saw earlier tonight) to win the heat. Rico edit : PS Looking forward to meeting you when the Monarchs come to town Wacks as I hear you are meeting up with Midnight Lady etc and I won't let that chance go by.

edit : PS Looking forward to meeting you when the Monarchs come to town Wacks as I hear you are meeting up with Midnight Lady etc Apparently so Rico, managed to escape in previous seasons, but don't think I'll get away with it for another. ;D Reading without both regular reserves tonight with Jamie Smith still ruled out with concussion. Jay Herne takes his place. Reading line up:- 1. Mark Lemon 2. Chris Mills 3. Ulrich Ostergaard 4. Tomas Suchanek 5. Tom P Madsen 6. Jay Herne (g) 7. Joe Haines (g) Iow line up (tbc) 1. R/R 2. Cory Gathercole 3. Glen Phillips 4. Paul Fry 5. Jason Bunyan 6. Andrew Bargh 7. James Holder Any IOW rider entitled to take r/r ride.

Well, it looks as if it'll be patched up sides tonight - weren't Berwick defenestrated from this fixture on the Island due to the patched up nature of their side?

Not a great advert for the PL i'm afraid , bit gate and go so far . The cruel, crazy town's Bandits would probably have put up more of a fight than Reading have - a bit of a poor meeting, to be honest.

Yeah I know Dekks is ok, but I've given him so much lip over the years I reckon it'll be pay back time when the monarchs muller us at home! Shameful performance tonight, was willing Tim Sugar to say that he couldn't single out one rider, cos the whole team were pretty shit. Track did pretty much have only one line, but it was one that Reading couldn't find or couldn't stay on! Expect similar results from the Racers on other travels this season, we were slightly weaker without our regular reserves, but the middle order just aren't doing it. Millsy is a trier and generally deserves more than he scores, Madsen great team man but lacks speed and will stick to the inside line round most tracks. Suchanek on the other hand just lacks balls. Bet SKY aren't so glad they switched the fixture now. ;D
