Off the top of my head other lesser known Scots you haven't asked about that graced either the Stripes or the Blue and Gold or both are - John Wilson , Benny Rourke , Alistair Brady , Fred Caffrey ( Paisley ) Brian Whaley , Stewart MacDonald , Stuart Coleman , Bill McMillan , Jimmy Gallacher , George Beaton ( Berwick ) There was a Ian Wilson who rode for Berwick in the early seventies , but i'm not 100% sure if he was a Scot .

I was looking through the archive Newcastle site and in the sixties section they constantly refer to Russ Dent as being a native of the north east .

Could you be thinking of Ian Patterson mate, who rode for Berwick around 68'-70ish and owns Cinder to shale museum at Loanhead?

Jimmy spent three seasons ('65-'67) at Edinburgh and moved to Coatbridge with them in 1968.. Jimmy attends Armadale every week and is usually in fine fettle and still enjoys his speedway. EDITED for the latest news: Taken from the Monarchs Chatzone"Not sure if this should be here or in the Monarchs Chatroom, but RDA told me yesterday that Jimmy Tannock has been in hospital up in Oban for a few days. I spoke to him this morning and he expects to get out this week. He puts it down to coming back from holiday in New Zealand and returning to a cold house. He's in good spirits. Any of Jimmy's friends that would like to ring can get ward B on 01631 789067. They will hand you over to him."
