News just surfaced that Flavio Briatore has bought QPR which must be a huge relief for the club. From www.planetf1.com"In signing the deal, Briatore will not only wipe out QPR's £17m debt but he's also expected to give manager John Gregory a much-needed cash injection to purchase players during January's transfer window.
QPR's chairman Gianni Paladini added: "It's a dream come true for QPR fans and saves this club from liquidation."Bernie has also been saying if he could buy Arsenal he would, providing he had complete control. Thoughts?

If Bernie buys Arsenal he would porbably bring David Dein back which would be a great relief to Wenger

Cannot really understand Briatore buying into QPR. It's a small ground surrounded by housing estates, desperately in need of some updating and only gets small attendances. Why has he bought into them? Arsenal's situation regarding the potential return of Dein and Ecclestone couldn't have anything to do with Dein's son being rather friendly with Bernie's daughter........ Guess I'm just a cynic.......

Why has he bought into them? The official line is: "Mr Briatore wants to do for QPR what Mohamed Fayed has for Fulham and turn us into a Premier League club." But I'm a cynic too.

But why QPR, at least Fulham had a bit of history, all I remember about QPR is that Terry Venables played for them.
Or did Mr Paladini and Mr Briatore go to school together?

Didn't Fayed see Fulham as a very nice piece of riverside housing investment in the long term until he had to do a u-turn?

Maybe Tom Walkinshaw will soon reveal himself to be a life long fan and put in a bid for Leyton Orient ;D

Maybe Tom Walkinshaw will soon reveal himself to be a life long fan and put in a bid for Leyton Orient ;D Couldn't believe the Orient when I went past it a few months ago.... Barry Hearn has certainly spend a few quid on the place..... and certainly recouped it with those apartments on each corner of the ground.... ;D Used to go there regularly many years ago... and it was a dump then... sure different now..
