A one-week gap and we return to Spa after a year away from the track. Everyone loves Spa, don't they?
Have to say the notable moments for me were the BARs of Villeneuve and Zonta both crashing at Eau Rouge: www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9du_92gzvc and Schumacher and Coulthard coming together in the wet: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaKa43xZk80 which was clearly DCs fault
Kimi has won this race twice - both consecutively - and was the last race winner here. He'll be looking for three in a row to add his name to the list that also includes only Senna, Clark and Schumacher.
Wurz had a bad race last time, but is it me, or are we not seeing much of the other drivers at all, apart from DC's usual excursion across the gravel trap and Webber's customary breakdown?
Alonso has been reeling in Hamilton race by race, and will be looking to reduce the three point gap between the two, whilst Kimi has now taken the lead in the Ferrrai camp, and looks likely to get their backing to take the title challenge to McLaren with so few races left this season. Really hoping the court case doesn't exclude McLaren, or we may as well pack up and go home now. Ferrari have said it wouldn't be a hollow victory to take the championship in the courts, but I don't think even they believe that.
The weather always plays a part at Spa, with rain making things especially interesting because the track can be wet in some places and bone dry in others. Ferrari should just have the edge, though Alonso seems to have taken the bull by its horns of late and will mount a decent challenge. My prediction: Raikkonen, Alonso,Hamilton. Edit: let's not be boring. I'll go for Heidfeld to make up the final place on the podium.
