The penultimate race sees the circus move to Shanghai this weekend and the big question is can Alonso win the race and prevent Hamilton from sewing up the championship there and then? Even Raikkonen is still in with a chance, albeit a pretty slim one, and personally I'd like to see the title chase go to Interlagos.
Last year's race was won by Michael Schumacher - his final win of his career - although Alonso took pole position. This year already sees a 10 place grid demotion for Sebastian Vettel as a penalty for causing the accident in Japan with Mark Webber. If Webber's Red Bull team can pick up a few more points than Williams they'll be able to take fourth place in the championship for a decent sponsorship package, though Williams won't give it up without a fight.
The weather forecast for Sunday is sunshine and cloud, so odds of a decent spectacle are about as good as those of Button making the podium. The race starts at 7am on Sunday, on ITV.

Schumi - wait until next year and Hamilton / Button form a British dream team at McLaren. Then if won't be often you DON'T see Button on the podium. If Ferrari are on top this weekend, it will suit Lewis down to the ground. Then he could even finish fourth, if Alonso was only in third. Would love to see him trounce Alonso in this race and wrap it up in style. However, from what I recall from last year, Alonso is mega-quick around this circuit and was only let down last season by a bungled Renault strategy. |

Button's already signed for Honda. Schumi - and a couple of seasons ago he'd signed for Williams, yet it was Honda he ended up driving for. There's a way out of contracts. |

Indeed, and it cost him dearly. He should have learned from that. Look at it from Ferrari's point of view - why would they want Button when they could have Kubica or Kovalainen? Oh, and Ralf's looking for a drive too. Didn't I mention a move to the Red car for him before? |

P.S Have you found your wheel yet? ;D Yes, there's now four wheels back on my wagon. It's obvious why McLaren would want Button. Hamilton is a brilliant, awesome driver, but it would aid the team if Hamilton had a more experienced team-mate. At the same time, the driver would have to have a certain amount of talent and also have the personality to fit in well at McLaren and with Lewis. Button would fit that bill perfectly. |

What on earth were McLaren playing at? Lewis clearly struggling on the wrong tyres, one of which looked to be on the verge of delaminating, and they didn't bring him in. By the time they did make the decision he'd lost all grip and beached it in the gravel trap at the pit entrance. Still, it makes it all to play for in Brazil and we'll get to see just how well Lewis handles the pressure.

A great shame for Hamilton, but at least the spanish twat didn't win.
Also congraulations to Jenson Button, it is so good to see him have a good race and fiinish in the points, well it makes me happy anyway ;D

BAD mistake by the McLaren to leave Lewis out for an extra lap - it was clear he needed to come in, that tyre was shot. It had got to the stage where he could have been refuelled for the rest of the race, as well.
Apparently, it was indecision over what tyres to put on - although by then surely it was clear that slicks had to go on.
A great pity for Lewis Hamilton, but it sets up an intriguing three-way battle for the championship going into the final round, would love to see Lewis win, if not then Kimi who is a terrific driver and overdue a championship (although I think he will win in 2008), anyone but that Spanish flapperjack.
