Basically, search engines collect their information by sending out spiders which visit various web pages and copy them so they can be indexed and transfered, so when someone searches for something they produce as many results as possible. I'm guessing that on the night in question there was either a lot of information added on here, or it was when we expanded the sections, so there were more spiders, which show up as guests. Basically anything with an IP address that starts 195 here is a spider collecting information.
But it must be doing us some good - I asked one member what made him sign up and he said he Googled Sebastian Truminski and we were the first hit.
