They're coming. We all know they're coming. But what will be the personnel changes at Berwick in the next few days, since I believe Berwick finally get some GSAs before the next meeting.
Stanislaw Burza to Edinburgh is a rumour I've heard. Grzegorz Knapp surely isn't coming over to ride at the weekend for the good of his health. Ryan Fisher just dumped by the Aces is another riding at the weekend and looking for a team place. And then there's Smethills and Stancl, the duo recently dumped by the heathen Tigers.
Any mileage in any of them?

I would expect anything upto 4 changes from the last declared line up according to local rumours Robertson, Compton and 2 others going/gone if rumours are correct
Stancl apparently is not looking for a club at the moment is what i was told, doesn't mean he already has one though

Waite rings the changes as 3 leave the team. posted Jun 26, 2007 The first stage of big team changes have been put in to action as 3 team members go their separate ways, and it's looking like a restaging for the Bonanza! Berwick part company with 3, with more news to come this week - Plus aim is to restage weather-torn Bonanza! The Andersons Quality Butchers Bandits of Berwick have dried themselves off after the ghastly wet weekend, and have once again put their noses to the grindstone to get back on course for the Premier League, which currently sees the Bandits sitting in bottom slot with 9 defeats out of 9 matches played. This has meant that Peter Waite, the Bandits promoter, has had to action, lots of it, and quickly in order to make sure the season can at least give the fans some of the success they deserve in this their 40th great season. Consequently this week is now one of fevered activity in the transfer market with the first of several releases coming from the club this Tuesday morning. 3 riders have already gone their separate ways from the Bandits, as Peter Waite revealed that reserve Benji Compton, Number 2 Jamie Robertson and Swede Andreas Bergstrom are the first names to depart the Shielfield scene in this round of changes. “I’ve had to make big changes to be fair to the fans who deserve so much better than last in the League!” Said a busy Waite, “ And this is the first step in getting a team together that I believe can deliver the goods. “We have mutually agreed with Benji, Jamie and Andreas that they and the Bandits must go their separate ways and it goes without saying that I thank them all for their efforts for the Bandits this season, and in Andreas’ case, last as well. I wholeheartedly wish them all the very best for the future and hope they find success with alternate clubs in the very near future. “This of course leaves 3 vacancies in our team and of course we’re not finished with the announcements yet. I know who is on the point of coming in, but until the writing and documentation is completed I’ll have to sit on the names for now, but as the brand new team will be out at Stoke on July 1st, there won’t be much time to wait to see. “It’s the aim to get as close to those play-offs as possible, and whilst we’ve really given ourselves a huge handicap to overcome I think we’ll surprise a few folk how far we’ll rise.” Of course there’s still been a lot of thought going back to Saturday’s massive disappointment that the Berwick Bonanza sank in the mud, although the socialising with the old former Bandits was still spectacular even if the racing was cancelled. Much talk has gone on between the main protagonists regarding what to do with the event, and it’s now looking that the Berwick Bonanza WILL be restaged in 2007, although the final new date and details are still being finalised, but the Bonanza’s going to be run in this the 40th Great Season, and next time it dare not rain on Berwick’s parade! More rider news will be released later this week. From: www.berwickspeedway.co.uk

That's one I heard last week and I hope Andrea get's himself a team place as he's a top bloke As for making it as close to the play off's as possible is it not impossible for Berwick to make the play off's

Waite appreciates weirdness. I'd like Waite to join our little group - he could have a lot of fun and frollicks here.

Well thats it the changes have started, i have to say not before time. Who will PW bring in to race on the hallowed super-fast, super-grippy, super-smashing-great raceway? An unknown, eastern european? Perhaps a name known to us all? One things for sure, PW has got more surprises than Kinder themselves!
The under achieveing camel has gone, what lies now for the basement bandits?
I think he will go for another Pole to join the weirdity and Bootsah and Fisher maybes.

I really shall miss your cries of Camel that greeted Bergstrom every time he finished a distant last.

Quote taken from todays BSF. Can I take this opportunity to appologise to all Bandits fans for not getting facts 100% correct when starting this thread. Maybe saturdays rain off had a bearing on the final outcome.

I wouldn't go apologising just yet. After all, the press release talks of this being the "first stage".

What's the script with the changes then . Sebastian Trumanshow and who else . I've also heard Mr Bergstrom has been given a reprieve and is back in . Well for the time being anyway .
