Plenty of unhappy fans on fentigers.com now. Most are now realising that we are hitting problems, and with all the decent riders getting snapped up - where are our last 4 riders going to come from?
A few fans are saying that there are hundreds of riders out there - BUT, we need 4 established riders now, after taking risks on our first 3 riders.
Speculate to accumulate isn't the idea of Simon Barton, but is from most of the fans....

yet when Mildenhall had signed Gravesen and Baseby i seem to remember you made a point of saying it was more than Kings Lynn had managed ... and i noticed you didn't reply any more on the thread you started regarding a poll for the best possible number 1, why was that i wonder?

Steve, when we signed those 3 riders, the management then bullshitted about signing Tacey, Schramm, Legault, King etc. Now we're not going to have any of those 4 lining up for us come March. We had those 3 riders signed up early, and everyone was upbeat and confident that we'd get the decent riders linked to us. Full credit to King's Lynn, and tell the Chapman's that if you so wish. I wish Mildenhall would have been on the ball like KL were, and then you can start looking for sponsors, and have training sessions with the side. How can we get a potential sponsor now? The conversation would be something like: ''Oh yes, I'd be interested in sponsoring Mildenhall, what sort of team have you got?''
''Well, we haven't got a team.''
''Oh dear, have you not signed any riders yet then?''
''Yes, we've signed 3.''
''And who are they?''
''James Cockle.''
''Who?''
''And there's Mark Baseby.''
''Who?''
''And finally an untried Dane, Jan Graversen.''
''Sorry, I'm not interested - I haven't heard of any of those riders!''And the fans I've spoken to think the same.

then maybe next time you give a 'haha' at Kings Lynn think before it comes back to bite your arse.
you have a team that needs to run on a strict, tight budget, if you push that budget you run the risk of no speedway at all.
now, what would you prefer, a team that's running, has decent racing, close meetings going either way, or would you prefer a team of more 'well known' and therefore more expensive names, and a club that will close mid season?
i know what i'd prefer.
you have to give the promotion time ... they are trying to keep the club going with their own money, they haven't won the lottery as far as i know, so it takes a while to get established, get some respect, then people will WANT to come to Mildenhall for the right reasons, not just money.

We'll see. I've heard we're in talks with Carl Wilkinson. Him and Craig Watson signed would bring back some belief to Fen Tigers fans.

you have to think about the current ambitions of the club.
if you read the track reviews from the season in the Speedway Star you only have to look at the highlight of the season for Mildenhall >>> getting the bonus off Kings Lynn!!! well woopy fucking do!!!
if getting the bonus off a team is the highlight then you're back at basics and things need to be run from there.
when i was a supporter at Wimbledon for the first 24 years of my life until they closed in 1991, i would follow the team home and away, and i tell you what, for most of that we were crap, but i still went until it went tits up mid season and they moved to Eastbourne.
think yourself lucky come March when Mildenhall have speedway.

You post on fentigers.com suggesting the most absurd riders should be signed, and on the BSF until you were banned and now on here you make liablous statements you cannot back up. Listen to Steve Hone he is talking sense to you child. If you are the great Mildenhall supporter then buy a share £100.00, only a few nights down the pub. You can then go to shareholder meetings where hopefully you can sit still long enough and listen to what is said, THEN you may understand the situation and THEN you can comment on it realistically and sensibily

Well said Bryn
Perhaps this sad person should consider how much Simon Barton did for Mildenhall last season before posting such crass rubbish as 'Speculate to accumulate isn't the idea of Simon Barton, but is from most of the fans.... '
For his information it is not the case from ost fans, most of us are mature enough to understand our position and be grateful we have a team

It looks like Milly are favourites to get Craig Watson. But Berwick, and possibly Newport are in the hunt too.
