The meeting will take place on Saturday March 18, and will be followed one week later by the first leg of the Tyne/Tweed Trophy with Newcastle providing the opposition – just as they did in the first-ever meeting at Shielfield Park in 1968.
Co-promoter Scott Courtney said: “We will be getting underway with a big one – a very, very special 50th Season Spectacular.
“This will be an individual event, with details of invited riders being released in coming weeks.”

BERWICK skipper Kevin Doolan feels the club is well-placed to make a serious challenge in the SGB Championship this season.
Doolan will lead a Bandits team who are under new ownership with Scott and Jamie Courtney along with Gary Havelock taking charge at Shielfield Park.
Doolan said: “There's been a lot going on behind the scenes. There was a lot of hard work put in last season, and now the new promotion have stepped in to build on that and take things forward.
“I'm really happy with the guys we've got in the team, and the talent we have means I have a good opportunity to do my job as captain.
“I want to try and get everyone settled in and bring out the best in everyone, because if we get everyone riding to their potential I think we can do really well.”Attachments:

From the SGB/BSPA website: :::: BERWICK captain Kevin Doolan will stage his Testimonial meeting at Shielfield Park on Saturday August 5.
The 36-year-old first appeared in the UK for Belle Vue back in 1999, won a string of trophies with King’s Lynn in 2005-06, and is about to go into the fourth season of his second spell with the Bandits.
Co-promoter Scott Courtney said: “Kev became a Bandit way back in 2002 and arrived on these shores with talent, commitment and charisma in abundance, and since then he has established himself as one of the most popular Bandits of all time.
“Last year's Premier League Riders' Championship at Sheffield showed the mark of the man, choosing to celebrate a heat victory mixing with the travelling Bandits fans on the terraces!
“Kev's Big Day Out promises to be a spectacular show and a tribute to a career that is still going strong in our 50th season as he once again leads our side from the front.”
