flapperjack Shovlar's latest BSF post on the subject (see below). And then people ask why Poole are hated so much. it is down to one person - SHOVLAR (and to a lesser extent Matt Ford). Lovable wind-up merchant, my arse. He posts stuff like this because of what he is - a cunt!
-- Absolutely. Pawlicki absence so he could only ride 11 of the 14 meetings was an absolute joke and the reason why Coventry are viewed with derision by the majority of EL promotions.
Coventry fans and the usual Pole bashers might think its all good, but the majority of fair minded speedway fans know Coventry conned their way to the title by streching the rules past breaking point.
A hollow victory and a sad day for the sport when a rider on an assessed average is managed to be used at reserve through missing over half of his programmed meetings.
At least us Poole fans can hold our heads high in the knowledge we used the same 1-7 throughout the season. We didn't have to manipulate the teams average down to fit KK into the side in place of Sitera, which made the combined average of the Coventry team nearly 5 points stronger than every other team in the league.
A Championship for Coventry but one which will be viewed with utter distain by real speedway fans, and will no doubt bvring around rule changes so this mullarkey doesn't happen again.

Reading those posts makes me somewhat pleased I stubbornly cheered Coventry over Poole (though I was doing it to be annoying at the time).

The prick is now having another go about the track and weather for the first leg of the Grand Final at Brandon.
So much for his losing with grace and posting a congratulations message after the 2nd leg. He's long since cancelled that out.
A very sad bitter and twisted man.

He is indeed but is waaaaaaayyyy too easy a target for FOTM. I wonder if he actually realises that he is responsible for some of the people haemmorhaging away from the BSF? I don't even bother looking except for the occasional weather forecast these days because of retards like him

Would you seriously expect anything better from them?

Those responsible for the shocking treatment of National League speedway, which has reduced an entertaining level of speedway to pure farce.
* The staging of the NLRC put back at three days notice (i.e. after the Speedway Star was printed) because this prestige event is "less important" than a mickey-mouse Young Shield match. * Failing to restage the NL Fours * Total neglect of the NL play-offs. The two legs of the final being staged on October 29 & 31 - far too late. The leg on October 29 at Newport has been rained off and due to the restaging of the NLRC yesterday, no restaging was possible. The play-off final has now been reduced to farce, taking place over just one leg. And what happens if today's meeting at Buxton is also rained off? Sheesh.

I can relate to this, though I have not followed Dudley as closely as I should this year I know the frustration that has arisen from the constant shuffling/cancelling of fixtures that should have been prestige for the NL. The third tier of the sport should be fully recognised and treated in it's own right as important as either of the two above it, after all isn't this where future Elite League stars should be progressing from? Oh well at least we finished top and have the NLRC champion, not a bad start

Well, I've thought long and hard about this and have struggled to make a decision. Whether to take the moral high ground and nominate those who naff about with our beloved sport and make a mockery of the fixtures, the rules and the simplistic enjoyment of watching bikes go round in circles.... or Go for the sheer choking comedy value of the Australians Soooooooo, I'm going to plump for putting a foot in both camps and all those associated with the operational side of Poole; not just Fat Maud, nor the underwhelming Noddie, nor the Spolit Brat but for the whole job lot of 'em including that imbecile unofficial spokesman Shovlar and 'The Greatest England Team Manager Ever....'. They choked and can't accept it, were partly culpable for the rule changes and can't accept them when they work against them, and have continually used the NL as a tool for trying to prove they have a god given right to run the sport from their little corner of England..... I suppose we will have to look forward to them buggering about with their averages again in 2011.... "We were the best because we didn't change out 1-7 all season...." Let's hear you say that again next year! Here's a fiver that says they won't! Pip
