Well finally, we get to show off our "new" look track on TV this week, seems really strange that we always appear on TV at Foxhall v the Swindle Robbers . Anyway enough of that!!! Our home meeting on Monday will feature this: Help For Heroes At Sky Meeting Ipswich Speedway are please to announce that the Sky meeting next Monday, 16th August, will be in honour of our Armed Forces as part of the 'Help For Heros' initative. All armed forces personnel will gain free entry on production of their warrant card. They will also be able to bring up to 3 three guests each.
Sponsorship co-ordinator Horry Money says "This is an opportunity to thank our armed forces for all the brave and tireless work that they carry out on our behalf. I know that our supporters will be thrilled that they will be in attendance. Help for Heroes is a fantastic cause and we are proud to be able to put on such an evening here at Foxhall".
Full details of the campaign can be found here: Help For Heroes - www.helpforheroes.org.uk/

Taken from Ipswich speedway website: Witches Help The Heroes On Monday Ipswich Speedway will be donating £1 per paying adult to the Help for Heroes campaign on Monday evening as the Witches take on the Swindon Robins in an Elite League 'B' fixture at Foxhall. Director of Speedway, Chris Louis says: “We are all painfully aware of the sacrifices made by members of our armed forces overseas and we felt as a club that we should make a contribution to this very worthwhile cause. We are grateful to the Evening Star for kick starting our fund raising with a £100 donation”.
There has been some criticism of the club regarding the Barry Briggs Ride but Chris would like to set the record straight: “Our riders have already contributed a percentage of their points money to Briggo, and in the case of a couple of riders who are struggling financially, the club made a contribution on their behalf. We did however receive a lot of calls and letters from Witches fans who were dismayed that Kim Jansson was excluded from Briggo’s fund raising efforts and given Kim’s popularity at Ipswich we wanted to avoid anything which could detract from a worthy cause. It was in that spirit that we made our decision. As a club we have always supported injured riders through benefit meetings, collections and the Speedway Riders’ Benevolent fund, and we shall continue to do so”.
Monday’s meeting will almost certainly be the last time Robins skipper Leigh Adams graces the Foxhall circuit. One of the most successful – and definitely the most stylish – riders of the modern era, Adams will be retiring at the end of this season and returning to his native Australia. Scottie Nicholls is hoping to be fit after his horrific crash in Sweden while Robert Miskowiak is planning to return to the saddle in Poland on Sunday.
Line ups: Ipswich Witches 1 Scott Nicholls 8.99 2. Chris Slabon 4.75 3. Danny King © 7.21 4. Ales Dryml 4.67 5. Robert Miskowiak 6.35 6. Dawid Stachyra 4.46 7. Kozza Smith 3.52 Team manager: Pete Simmons Swindon Robins 1. Leigh Adams © 9.78 2. Thomas H Jonasson 5.25 3. Grzegorz Zengota 5.33 4. Mads Korneliussen 6.60 5. Simon Stead 7.91 6. ?? 7. Cory Gathercole 3.85 Team Manager Ronnie Russell Apparently Morten has been "rested" for this meeting, not sacked

Our track has produced some very good racing, sadly though not from the Witches, but from the away teams who all seem to get to grips with it quite quickly unlike the majority of the Witches riders who haven't all season long. Exceptions obviously Scott, Linus and now seemingly Ales.

Is it Ipswich in particular you have a problem with, or any track other than the "Horrors" Quite like Ipswich actually as a venue but I do think the racing leaves a lot to be decided, will be getting my second yearly fix on the 26th lets hope the track and the racing is good.

Not watched this yet as I was at Old Trafford watching Man U make a mockery of the Geordies.
I see the scoreline resembles a massacre...what was the racing like?
