A rider of outstanding ability. I saw him beat Tomasz Gollob from the back twice at Torun a couple of years ago. A good signing by the Pretty One. On the subject of Zabik, did anyone hear the outcome of his court case with Horterjack?

Not convinced this is a good move.
Bound to miss a host of matches. Hope Poole have a good number 8 lined up for next year.

Edit: from Poole's website: Poole Castle Cover Pirates have unveiled one of their riders for 2008 having agreed terms to bring Karol Zabik back to British Speedway. Zabik, who enjoyed a spell with Peterborough in 2006 has been on the wanted list by Poole promoters Matt Ford and Mike Golding for some time and after discussions during the day the 'deal' was agreed in time for Zabik to be introduced to the Poole crowd for their final home match of the season.

This could be an iffy time for such a signing - Zabik will no longer be a junior over in Poland in 2008, so perhaps he'll find things tougher and won't be quite the signing people imagined.

The next signing for Poole will be at 1pm on Tuesday. Sounds like not only has a points limit been pretty much decided, but that there won't be any changes to the league structure, maybe?

Well I would be very surprised to see him in the Witch Kev, more likely to be wearing a pesky 'Ammer I should think

A lot can happen in the winter though mate.

"IT will be cool to ride with Poole," Karol Zabik comments his decision to sign for the British team for 2008. Karol did not want to ride in the BEL in 2007, but he had a gentleman's agreement with promoter Matt Ford to join the Pirates in 2008. "I am very happy with this contract. The club is professionally managed by really great people. For me it is also important that I will have a chance to race in a team with Jason Crump, who is my idol," said Zabik. Karol said he was surprised by the warm welcome from Poole Pirates fans. "That is very important for me, since I want to have a good relationship with our fans," said Zabik. Karol speaks English quite well, which surprised many journalists. "They did not want to believe that I learned it from the Cartoon Network!" he laughed. From www.speedwayworld.tvDoes this mean the deal with Jason is pretty much signed and sealed?

I like him a lot. I watched him on his debut at Showground. Incredible stuff.
Personally, I reckon he had the correct attitude. He expected a professional set-up at Peterborough but found one where the promoter goes to America for a month leaving Pat in charge. In retrospective, I was proved to be right.
He's now at the break point for a Pole. The security of being a junior is gone....Kolodziej had the same probelm but still good enough to make an impact in the UK.

Does this mean the deal with Jason is pretty much signed and sealed? Sounds like it, and more to the point where will Bjarne end up next season - my bet is his home track will be a tad further north next year.

Poor Rabs hasn't been quite so adamant that Bjarne will be staying this year, which I think says a lot. But didn't he sign a two year contract?
