Scott Nicholls is down to a 5.44 CMA and a reserve berth for Vargarna, he should be useful from there.

Money trouble already at Västervik? Certainly something other than the given excuse - fever would have gone in 24 hours, and apparently this was notified on Sunday. And they only just managed to get a team together at the last moment because of money owed from last year too. I'd be surprised if all of that debt had been paid, but I could be wrong. Which track is it Gollob rarely shows up at?

Could Erik or Ghostwalker answer something for me please? In the Vargarna-Indianerna meeting (which was rained off then restaged) Iversen fell in his 3rd heat and was unable to take his place in the re-run. How was he then replaced by Protasiewicz? Shouldn't it have been a reserve? www.speedway.nu/2010/reportNY.asp?Elit.HC

Under these rules a tactical sub was allowed for a rider who had been injured in the first staging of the race, because that rider hadn't been excluded from the race. I assume that this is the rule that still applies in Sweden.

Assumed it was something like that, but didn't think they could use a substitute once the race had started. Thanks genghis.

to clearify, if a heat is red-flagged it is considered to not have been run(?) which mean that the team leader (if the team is 6p or more behind) can use a tactical substitute in the re-run.
If the team is 5p or less behind only reserves are allowed.

Incidentally, I assume an exluded rider (e.g. one touching the tapes) could only be replaced by a reserve?
