AJ out...........is that the right decision? Definitely not IMHO. It sounded like the ref said there was no contact on the phone - was that man watching the monitors? Nicki's favourite ref strikes again! Munners - there was contact, but it was AJ's fault. Gollob was already through, Jonsson realised too late, stuck out a leg and the rest is history. Correct decision.

I completely disagree Genghis, but it's easy for us all to be armchair refs

I completely disagree Genghis, but it's easy for us all to be armchair refs It was one of those 'can't win' decisions for a referee as he had no choice but to exclude someone. This is another example of what a poor rule that is........if a race can be stopped on the first turn with no exclusions, why not apply the same rule two laps later?

Difficult situation. While I feel for AJ, his leg was clipped by Gollob, I too would have excluded AJ. Just to enforce the rule and avoid future "throwdowns" by riders seeking a restart. I don't think AJ threw down this time around though.

Emil Sajfutdinov has had surgery on his hand after breaking the bone during the GP. It's not yet known how long he'll be out of action for.

AJ have been handed a €300 fine for his argument with the referee, so perhaps Andreas should in the future? svt.se/2.93021/1.2013240/jonsson_botfalls_efter_utbrottet?lid=puff_2013240&lpos=rubrik
