Why, what's wrong with Lakeside? I have been there a few times when it was Arena Essex and saw no problem with the track nor the stadium. Crikey where do I start Trick track, No Shale, No passing, Poor racing, Gaters paradise, Poor spectator facilities, No cover. What a load of crap!! I have seen meetings at Worky and Berwick where the racing ended after 5 seconds on dust bowls, thankfully there's been a lot of improvement at both tracks especially Berwick. I've seen no passing at short track, medium tracks and long tracks. There's more cover at Edinburgh than most tracks. Maybe it would be best if there were no tracks under 400 metres ?

I've hardly ever seen passing at Lakeside and have been going there since it opened, dont get me wrong I dont mind small tracks if they are well prepared and offer the opportunity to race and pass. The only passing is generally home riders passing visitors because of mistakes, the overiding memory is watching Coventry there the other year when Sitera gated held the line and held off the Lakeside riders, Cookie described him as a roadblock and I thought doesnt that just say it all about your track, one racing line - crap. Of course if you like it thats fine, me I prefer memories like event 2 of the SWC at the EOES in 2009, what a meeting.

The only passing is generally home riders passing visitors because of mistakes I disagree, and I'm sure the Hammers riders would agree with me - especially riders like Adam Shields and Stuart Robson who are both racers and pull off great moves on a regular basis. I think you are doing them a disservice personally. IMHO of course

I'm sure we'd all love our home tracks to be in stadia like the EoES but unofortunately it doesn't work like that. We're at the mercy of our landlords & so are we, hence not getting this: "We were proud to be chosen as the club to stage the World Cup and what a great meeting that was? Many say that it was the best meeting in Britain this year? Subject to the availability of dates at the showground we will be hosting this event again in 2010 which is something really to look forward to next year." and the prompt start in 2010 You can't knock Dick for his consistency. He consistenly dislikes the Purfleet circuit for the techically gifted. I haven't been since 92 so can't comment on what it's like now?
