The advert carried on page 44 of todays Speedway Star claims Hans Nielsen is riding in the meeting!!! Someone got their knickers in a twist there then I reckon. ;D Colin Pratt did say that he had invited Hans over to present the prizes etc, sort of guest of honour thing, but unfortunately he was unable to on that date.

The line-up is now complete Full line-up: Hans Andersen Ben Barker Troy Batchelor Jason Crump Chris Harris Chris Holder Niels-Kristian Iversen Steve Johnston Edward Kennett Mads Korneliussen Scott Nicholls Nicki Pedersen Rory Schlein Davey Watt Matej Zagar Grzegorz Zengota Acouple of make-weights in there I reckon but overall a good competitive line-up, now all we need is a dry evening!! Some-one on the BSF reckons Nicki apart, he or she wouldn't open the curtains to watch that lot, not a speedway fan then I guess

Nicki to win this one I think....as much as I'd like Crumpie or Hans to win it.

Nice idea to bring back the Brandonapolis, but horrible execution. Surely a 22-heat meeting should be started before 8.00pm - the near 11.00pm finish is just too late, especially for those who had children there.
After a very, very slow start, the meeting finally started to pick up towards the end of the 20 heats. But there's then a huge gap between Heat 20 and the semi-final and another between the semi and the final, and as a result the rain starts again and the final, held on a greasy track, turns into an absolute farce with Hans Andersen pootling around to win the meeting, after Harris falls and then Schlein hits Crump and both suffer machinery trouble.
And in case anybody thinks Pedersen had two engine failures, he didn't. He just gave up twice whilst in fourth place. No fight at all from Nicki tonight, when he didn't gate he just drifted backwards and wasn't interested.

Takes me back to the GP Challenge last season when I said I will not be coming back to this dump unless we have a winning team, so I stuck to the first bit but I'm probably going to risk next Friday,
During the extended meeting at Brandon you can always enter the spot the youngest person carrying a lager competition.
