From what I heard he is a done deal in the EL next year..........and the majority of his meetings won't be at Blunsdon. Lol, me too. And it's not your club or mine hey Kev Sadly, you are right Badger.

Well I for one was very pleased with his final GP last night. Best result of the season for him - and probably because there was absolutely no pressure on him whatsoever, so he went out and enjoyed it. If only.....ho hum.
As for next year - I'm with Grachan. I'll be very disappointed if he doesn't end his career with us, and give us at least one more year. I don't ever want to see him do what Phil Crump did though - rode far beyond when he should have retired and ended up a shadow of his former self, whihc is how so many people remember him.
I can see why comments have been made about him losing us the league - no matter how unfair I might think them. There's a lot of ifs and buts involved - if he had scored what he usually does, we would have probably gone down by 12 at Monmore, but we would have still lost over two legs. More than Leigh were guilty of riding under their averages at Monmore (Steady and Zagar excluded).
Anyhow - I sincerely hope to see him in our team, gracing The Abbey for one more season next year.
