Hampel, Lindgren and Bjerre as they are a different class to the rest of the field I didn't mention Lindgren and Bjerre because they're likely to make it in by virtue of finishing in the top 8. So, to me, it's more interesting that tonight's riders don't necessarily have to finish in the top 3 to make it through.

So food talk aside, has PePe been confirmed to ride? Ladbrokes obviously think not, they are the first out to play and see it like this: Harris 5/1 Lindgren 5/1 Hampel 5/1 Bjerre 11/2 Holder 6/1 Miedzinski 10/1 Walasek 20/1 Protasiewicz 14/1 Watt 16/1 Davidsson 16/1 Nieminen 66/1 Pavlic 50/1 Dryml 50/1 Bogdanovs 200/1 Smolinski 66/1 Zetterstrom 50/1 Reserves. Lindback 12/1 Kroner 50/1 For what its worth i've snapped up some of the 16/1 Each Way on Davidsson, i fancy he goes well at Coventry, especially when he's not weighed down by those horrible hammers. Updated to incorporate 365 prices.

Pepe has said on his website that he will be riding tonight, but the Coventry track is not one of his favourites, and he doesn't feel 100% well physically - but there is no pressure on him, so he'll see how it goes.

I hope that Hampel, Holder and Miedzinski finish top 3 and that Lindgren and Bjerre will manage top 8 in the GPs

Looks like Holder will be a part of the GP circus next year, one in one out for the Aussies ?

Not looking good for Adams, is it? As an aside, it's not looking good for Nicholls either, with Adams, Holta and Andersen currently out of the top 8.

Nicholls is out of his depth, as are Walasek and Ulamek(also both boring gating tarts) Adams and Andersen look very out of form at the highest standard, but Holta would be a loss(has he not decided to quit anyway though ?)

He's not sure yet. Agree Andersen and Adams haven't been at their best this year, but I still think they can beat any of tonight's line-up. It's looking likely that Zorro might make it through - I know I'll upset a few people with this, but he's not going to make a dent in the GP series. By contrast, Davidsson is having an awful night, but he would be more competitive than Zetterstrom.
Edited to say it would be a shame if there were no Brits in the series. I really hope Harris gets a nomination - he's very under-rated in the excitement stakes. Mind you, it won't make a difference to Cardiff's attendance, as most have booked already before even knowing who's in.

Not sure what the impact of no Brits would have(certainly wouldn't concern me) but as exciting as Harris no doubtably is, he needs a track that is conducive, and whether the GP tracks are down to Olsen or the over-practicing, they are not suitable.

Honestly what will Zorro bring to the GP? We moan about Scott and Bomber, but at least they are heat leaders

Glad to see Hampel back, and that Holder has his chance.
