This stinks the place out. A rare opportunity for me to get to a meeting and it's called off because the Poles re-arrange a postponed fixture!
To rub salt in, it's re-arranged for a Friday when I'm on holiday....bloody fantastic!

There were a number of factors in this postponement - the weather forecast for Friday is said to be poor, and the Swedish and Polish Championships are on Saturday and Sunday respectively (although what that has to do with anything I'm not quite sure). The riders affected are Leigh Adams and Jurica Pavlic. www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/07/23/mecz-w-thurrocku-odwolany-adams-i-pavlic-pojada-w-zielonej-g/Whatever the reasons, it would be nice if the Poles acknowledged this rescheduling so they can field their strongest team, especially when Lakeside haven't had a home fixture for some time now. Perhaps this could pave the way for some sort of agreement akin to that the BSPA have with SVEMO. Or perhaps that's asking too much.

So, does this mean Leigh Adams was going to fuck Swindon off so that he could ride for Leszno against Zielona Gora? I think we can take it as read that Jurica Pavlic would be in Zielona Gora, hastening his demise as a Swindon rider. I certainly wouldn't have agreed to reschedule this fixture.

Perfectly logical post by Adde on BSF explaining this, and makes perfect sense. Zielona Gora deliberately arranged this match for when they knew Leszno would be without Adams and Pavlic.
Leszno - a club with whom Swindon have close relations - contacted Swindon and asked if they could get this fixture moved. Swindon got in touch with Lakeside - and it suited them too.
Adams and Pavlic would both have been at Lakeside had the match gone ahead. So I guess we can't take it as read that Pavlic would have been in Poland.

This still doesn't sit with me.
I cannot believe Leszno would reciprocate the good will in similar circumstances. It's the Lakeside and Swindon fan who get impacted here. The Leszno fixture is re-arranged, tough titty I say.

Grachan, and what about the likes of Oooogen, who have booked off time for the fixutre. Again it's the fans who come bottom of the list of priorities.

Disappointing for some fans I'm sure - although I don't think Oooogen actually did book time off. I do think it's kinda nice to see three clubs all getting along like this though. Brings a tear to my eye and a lump to my throat it does.
I guess I'm just one of the few people with internet connection who tries to see the positive side of things. My psychiatrist says it's perfectly normal.

Looks like it was well worth Pavlic pitching up getting 1 from 3 rides. The sad thing is history will doubtless show him as the World U21 champion this year as the final is on his family track. A moody tart, I tell thee. Rico

I cannot believe Leszno would reciprocate the good will in similar circumstances. They probably wouldn't have the chance - any decision would no doubt rest with Mr Glod and he doesn't give a flying about which foreign riders ride where.

Sorry Grachan - I was referring to his appearance in Poland tonight, not last night at Blunsdon. Apologies for not making that clear. Rico
