Why should you give the youngsters a go ? if you take your logic why don't matt davis ride ?after all we are not going to win anyhow in fact with your logic why go in it at all . Well it worked for the Danes, several years ago, so why should we be any different? ? It's nice that someone has the balls to try something different, so if HF wasn't picking the mutt's nut's award I would have nominated Rob for that one. However I would like to nominate that stuck up bog eyed Sky mouthpiece that is Tatum, for being so rude about Danny King. His dislike of the Ipswich Witches is one thing but to carry that over to one of our young riders is pathetic, and how on earth does he know how well or not Danny is going??? Maybe he reads his results like most people have i would imagine

It worked for the Danes, Badge, because they had some world class riders, with all due respect to Danny King, he'll never be any better than an elite league heat leader, and none of the squad will ever have a serious effect in the GP's because none of them are or ever will be 'world class'. Leaving Richardson out of the squad is absolutely barmy and when it all goes tits up, which it will, i'll have a little chuckle to myself. Rob Lyon is clueless, but never mind he'll always have the fact that we're shit anyway to fall back on. British speedway should be ashamed for many reasons but not least for the fact that the stupid rules allow British riders such as Lanham and Frampton to not have a place in the Elite, whilst wasters such as Kling, Wells and Baran do.

Very true, but we now live in an age where some idiot will go out on a day like today, frazzle in the sun, and then blame the government for not telling them how to do deal with the heat. Plenty on the BSF are lapping it up though, telling us we should be warned of the dangers of going outside when the thermometer climbs above the 25 degrees. I think it demonstrates how utterly nannied and moddlecoddled we've become, when this sort of nonsense is now expected.

Go post hatch ..i would go as far as saying that Lyon is in fact putting out a young side so when they get smashed he can say it was for the future to give him more time in the job .

Completely ignoring this entire thread so far, I'll nominate people that way under the speed limit when you're trying to get home in time to watch a program and eat your takeaway before it gets cold! (And on roads you cant overtake!)

Plenty of them around down here this time of year, full stop. Wibbling around at 40mph and slowing suddenly every time there's a new vista or a turning they realise they need to take. Commonly known as grockles or emmits. Roll on October! P

I think Poole's 2009 season ended around mid-April.

This is true. Kev, I don't think our season actually ever started. I think it got lost in the Bermuda Triangle of speedway.

I would like to nominate the fucking pillocks who schedule BBC1. I've just put on what I thought was Saturday's Robin Hood, only to get bloody stupid snobby crappy Tennis. Apparently Robin Hood was switched to BBC2 at tht last minute. Well I always leave plenty of time at the end, in case the bloody BBC piss about with their scehdule, but how the fuck am I supposed to cover for them swapping the bloody channel?
This was the season bloody finale of Robin Hood. Surely there's enough bloody Tennis on the bloody television bloody well already, without pissing about with Robin Hood.

I trust you'll nominate Sky Sports when speedway coverage over runs. You really do live in your own little world.

When I tape anything I tend to leave at least a hour at the end, in case something overruns. It's rather a different kettle of fish to artibitrarily switch over the two programmes on BBC1 and BBC2 for no good reason. Wimbledon is scheduled this year. There's a roof over the court so they know when Andy Muarry is playing. So why not schedule his matches on BBC1 in the first place and schedule the likes of Robin Hood on BBC2? BBC are a public broadcaster paid by the public purse. They do have responsbilites that other broadcasters do do have.
