I hate wee tiny tricktracks . It's not proper speedway . It's not good speedway tonight, is it? The Lakeside track has been much improved in recent seasons, so I wonder if the sweltering conditions today have caused problems. Looks too slick to me. |

Have to admit the racing's not up to much tonight - probably too much sun and wind on the track, and it's not doing the home team any favours. Proctor looking good though - and as I added him to my fantasy league team yesterday I have no complaints about his score.
And with Sky showing this, and the change of day, I wouldn't be surprised if the Hammers will be running at a loss tonight. Crowds look sparse.

Warming up nicely now, though. Good racing in the last couple of races. Good ride from young master Woffinden, whilst Richardson proves he can't team ride at all.  |

I know it's terrible of me, but just as I was about to congratulate Tai on that ride, Nigel Pearson's decibel level went through the roof and I couldn't do it. Sorry, Tai, nothing personal. I guess I rebel against overkill, and cheer for riders who are, on the whole, not too popular.

Well, it turned out to be a decent meeting tonight in the end. Wolves were desrving winners, with Ty Proctor (despite that Heat 14 last) proving to be the difference between the two sides.
And Lindgren is maturing as a rider - that was a clever ride in Heat 15.

Shite meeting on a shite track. A few passes late on and that was it. Please tell me that SKY don't have Lakeside scheduled again this season....

Fair play to Wolverhampton, they were the better team on the night and deserved their win!! They have a #1 who rides like a #1 and that seemed to be the difference between the teams tonight!!
Somethings wrong down at the side of the lake though....even Cookie looks like he's thrown in the towel.........and what was he thinking when he chose the riders for Heat 15?
