Provided it's on a decent date I may have to take in Lakeside this season. If for their Elite side rather than this meeting.

Where has this been announced?
As an aside, Paul Hurry has been awarded a testimonial and Lakeside are hoping to tie it in with their 25th anniversary. See the Hammers' website for more details.

What's the date for the Under-21 Final?
Try to avoid Arena whenever possible, as it's my least favourite track, but the Under-21s is normally a good meeting.

Found it on the Lakeside forum on a post from Nobby:
Lakeside have been awarded the Under 21 British Final this coming season and it is believed it will be on the Friday night before the first GP meeting in April. To be confirmed.

Well if you do make a visit I'm sure you'll be impressed with the massive improvements made to the track since your last visit (even if you won't admit it )

.......... the fact that Saint Damian Dryml was unwilling to grace the track with his divine presence in 2007 Hold on, I thought he was genuinely injured and had a valid medical certificate to support it?

I'm still trying to figure out the missing word at the end of his sentence.

No, the other day I said he was genuinely injured in 2001. Last season, he wasn't being paid on time (allegedly), and therefore had every right to pull the odd sickie. Although he did still have valid medical certificates.

BSPA press release:
MARK Loram, Britain's last world champion in 2000, is hoping to be at Lakeside to meet up with the cream of the UK's youngsters on April 25. The Purfleet raceway, home of Elite League Lakeside Hammers (one of Loram's former clubs), host the British Under-21 Final - and Loram is now part of the coaching set-up at that level. He's easing himself into the structure alongside former Wolves man Graham Jones and Isle of Wight chief David Croucher as he's had to have more treatment on the leg injury he sustained just over a year ago. "I'm not discounting riding again, but I can't even think of that at the moment," said Loram. "And it's nice that the BSPA have offered me an opportunity to stay involved. "I won't be hands-on at the moment because of my operation, but I'd like to get into a position where I can get on a bike and ride with the youngsters. "And I need to get out and get to know them more because my knowledge of them all is pretty limited at the moment." Elite League duo Steve Boxall (Belle Vue) and Lewis Bridger (Eastbourne) are included in the seven seeds for Lakeside along with Stoke’s Ben Barker, Rye House sensation Tai Woffinden, Birmingham’s Adam Roynon, William Lawson of Edinburgh and Redcar’s Josh Auty - the other qualifiers will be known shortly.

Might have to go along for this. I loathe Lakeside (the track, not the shopping centre!) but it does have the advantage of being 15 minutes from work, and I'd like to see this meeting.
