What is it with the semi-weird Walasek and drawing No 16? He's had No 16 in all three GPs so far and now No 16 here today. Still, he's looking set fair for the semi-finals.

Just to add to the weirdness, he was number 16 at the GP Challenge in ZG last year as well!

I do believe that's Walasek through, now can he show a little of the weirdness by having a duff fifth ride? Bjerre and Protasiewicz should also be just about through.

Well, that's the semi-weird Walasek definitely through as meeting winner with a 15 pointer.

And the twenty heats finished with the qualifiers known - they are:
Grzegorz Walasek Kenneth Bjerre Piotr Protasiewicz Martin Vaculik Renat Gafurov Lukas Dryml
There ought to be a couple of extra races, with Bjerre and Protasiewicz racing to see who finished 2nd and who finished 3rd, while Messrs Stichauer, Korneliussen and Kylmakorpi should race off to see who takes the reserve spot in the semi-finals.

...while Messrs Stichauer, Korneliussen and Kylmakorpi should race off to see who takes the reserve spot in the semi-finals. Or perhaps not, as the result for Ht 17 seems to have changed, which means that Kylmakorpi finishes seventh and is reserve for the semi-finals.

And Protasiewicz defeats Bjerre to make it a Zielona Gora (and Polish) one-two in Divisov.

I believe Lewis Bridger is having to choose between this meeting and the World U21 meeting that is on the same night. Quite how they managed to schedule 3 FIM meetings on 1 night, I don't know. He should choose the U21.

That's the stupidity of the FIM for you. Last season Sajfutdinov missed part of the SWC due to a fixture clash between that and the world under-21s.

The stupid thing is, the FIM are usually one of the first to release fixtures. I said at the time they'd made some poor decisions - they would have known clashes were likely.

That looks like a much tougher line-up than the other Qualifier on the same day! Yes, it does. I guess all the better riders just didn't want to ride in a place with such a silly name as St Johann-im-Pongau. And I for one don't blame them.

That's the stupidity of the FIM for you. Last season Sajfutdinov missed part of the SWC due to a fixture clash between that and the world under-21s. Missed this thread before.... Where was the apology to the FIM? You diss them, and then they fix things. An apology was surely due As for Emil's absence from the SWC last season, there was no fixture clash...He could have done both, but chose not to.
