Rain is predicted for this weekend, and in the event of a rain-off it wll be held on Sunday. That'll play havoc with the Polish league finals.

I bet Crump's happy with that draw. Even more so if he beats Gollob in heat 1. Come on the Ginger Genius....8 points is all you need and technically you'll have won all 3 World Titles as a Belle Vue Ace.

Skybet, surprise surprise, have Gollob and Emil as the 2 favourites for this. Nicki is at 12/1 with Crump 18/1 and Hans at 20/1.
Both Brits are 100/1........who's daft enough to lump money on them???

Truth is who would be daft enough to lump money on most of the field ? Initially when you see Gollob as low as 5/4 it seems crazy, but how does the field rate: Absolute no-hopers. Nicholls Harris Crump Adams Bjerre Chances so slim its barely worth thinking about'ers Walasek Ulamek Lindgren Andersen So that's over half the field we can almost certainly dismiss, we then have the: Polish(ish) so can't completely ignore them but........Really ? Holta Miedzinski The Improbables Hancock Jonsson Pedersen Which leaves us with just a field of two the quite possible Sajfutdinov And the very very likely Gollob. So looking at the field, the 5/4 on Gollob is not that crazy, and the 13/8 at ladbrokes, very appealing.

Don't count out Jonsson - Bydgoszcz is his home track.

Don't count out Jonsson - Bydgoszcz is his home track. And wasn't Greg Hancock the winner of the last BigJosh GP??? As long as Ginge gets those 8 points I couldn't care less who wins.

Technically, no, Gollob was, but only because the German GP was moved to Bydgoszcz at the end of last season. Hancock won the last Polish GP staged at Bydgoszcz. Jonsson has been a Bydgoszcz rider for several seasons and hasn't showed too much when the GP comes around, I'd discount him.

Hope that Gollob at least wins on the night. Hope that Bummer bombs and spears all the guff about him being around next year. Hope for some weirdness from Grzegorz Walasek. Hope that Miedzinski gives genghis food for thought. Hope to get a few laughs out of the global superstar. Hope for some decent on track action.

Hope Gollob takes the world title. Hope Lindgren shows his class. Hope Andersen scores more points than Crump. Hope the lunatic doesn't fence Pedersen. Just want to add it would be great for speedway to have a new world champion especially a Polish one. And a punch up in the pits would be fun(bring on next year, Woffinden Vs Team Emil)
