I could'nt comment on the track or management at Rzeszow, but we know his excuse next season will be perfectly valid. "turning my back on the elite league was an absolute disaster and a complete mistake" Unless he returns within a couple of months to help bottom of the table Seattle in their attempt to pick up their first point.

In the interview, the global superstar (always casting round for excuses) blames his poor showings in Poland last season on poor management at Rzeszow... He has a point.

Taken from speedwayworldtv:
obviously Scott means business this year:
MEAN AND LEAN British Champion Scott Nicholls has lost nearly a stone in weight after a concentrated winter fitness regime. The former Ipswich, Coventry and Eastbourne ace is giving British speedway a miss this year in his quest to launch a major attack on the Grand Prix circuit. Nicholls finished ninth in the World Championship series last year, and has benefitted from a permanent wild-card into the 2009 event. Nicholls, who has been in Italy with Kelvin Tatum testing machinery, has been on a special diet and training in the gym to get himself ready for the 2009 campaign.

Without wishing to upset Schumi or Mimi, i am still not convinced Pedersen is that much better than the rest, i truly believe this could be Gollob's year. Crump, Hancock and Adams should still be good enough to fill the next three places, with Andersen and Jonsson(neither of whom seem to be getting any better)in 6th and 7th, from this point on it becomes something of a lottery although i probably rate Lindgren and Bjerre more than you and Walasek a little less, Holta cannot be ignored so i would not be shocked to see him finish 8th, but would expect to see him in 10th. Young Emil's final position is anyones guess, but he is without doubt the rider i am looking forward to watching the most. I would expect Harris and Ulamek to struggle, and still believe Nicholls decision to give the Elite a miss is his worst ever decision and one that he will live to regret. So my guess. 1. Gollob 2. Pedersen 3. Crump 4. Adams 5. Hancock 6. Andersen 7. Jonsson 8. Lindgren 9. Bjerre 10. Holta 11. Sajfutdinov 12. Walasek 13. Nicholls 14. Harris 15. Ulamek Just so were clear, Nicholls poor performance tonight comes as no surprise to me, i have said time and time again his departure from the Elite was a huge mistake, he could well fail to regain his British title and will then have no claim to one of Britains 'gift nominations' but until someone can oust him he is the best we have, and as i am someone who despises bullying, i'll continue to defend him.

You were well out with your estimate of Eastbourne.
