I'm planning a trip to Cov next Monday for the second leg of the play-off final.
Anyone else planning to go? Would be nice to meet up with Jacques and anyone else from WWoS who is in attendance.
Is there a good place to meet?

Is there a good place to meet? Are you still going to Swindon on Sunday ? Or does a mickey-mouse play-off meeting appeal more than proper speedway .

Is there a good place to meet? I'll be there early, stood in the queue probably ..We'll be in our normal spot in the stand behind the tapes....and of course in the bar after ( just while the car park clears you understand)

In our normal spot halfway between scoreboard and ice cream van on the 1st and 2nd bend. Ice cream van? Strewth!! He's pushing his luck a bit with the weather we've had lately. Gemini and friends will be on the less populated 4th bend where there's more room to swing the cat around.

From the Bees Website: IT'S THE BIG ONE! BUILDBASE BEES (43) v SWINDON (49) PLAY-OFF GRAND FINAL 2nd leg - MONDAY OCTOBER 1 - 7.30pm COVENTRY Buildbase Bees are fifteen races away from glory as they go into the second leg of the Elite League Grand Final - with Swindon standing between them and a second Championship in three years. Bees will have to pull back a six-point deficit after a satisfactory containing job at Blunsdon last Monday saw them beaten 49-43, and now they have to complete the job on home territory. Co-boss Peter Oakes said: "We want to see the biggest crowd we've seen here in the last few years, because it will make a difference to have our fans out-shouting those from Swindon. "We've got to win by seven points, full stop. There are no second chances, no excuses, no regrets - we've got to go out there and at the end of the night, we have to be at least seven points in front. There's a lot of hard work ahead, but that's what we're aiming to do. "Swindon are certainly the best or the second-best team in the League, we've said that all along and we certainly don't think that we've won the League, far from it. That's one thing you will never get from any Coventry team that myself and Colin Pratt are involved with. "Anyone who was at Swindon must know that we weren't celebrating, jumping around or parading a cup with our own colours on it. We didn't have an open-top bus there for a parade, we know we've got a hard task ahead still." Supporters are advised to arrive as early as possible on Monday evening as a bumper crowd is expected. BUILDBASE BEES: Scott Nicholls, Olly Allen or R/R, Chris Harris, Steve Johnston, Rory Schlein, Billy Janniro, Martin Smolinski. SWINDON: Leigh Adams, Sebastian Ulamek, Lee Richardson, Tomasz Chrzanowski, Charlie Gjedde, Andrew Moore, Damian Balinski. I'm really looking forward to this, hope the rain stays away...and the nerves

I see that Martin Smolinski warmed up for this meeting by becoming German champion today - congratulations to him.
