Edit: I didn't know Hancock had the flu? I believe that's the reason he didn't ride in the Ekstraliga mid-week. Whether he would have been riding yesterday or not I don't know.

Cheers Schumi! It's very strange that not a word of this has been heard, written or spoken in any swedish news ahead of tuesday..

And we're underway in Vastervik, where it's pleasing to see unSteady getting off to a suitably crap start. How on earth people once advocated him for the Grands Prix series is beyond me, I'm afraid.

Schlein's doing no better for Smederna.

Schlein's doing no better for Smederna. And Harris not much better for Vastervik. But at least Janniro is bagging big points for MasarnaAvesta.

And Nicki Pedersen proves a point back on his old track (at Hammarby) by beating Nicholls in his first heat, whilst Balinski fails to impress me again for the Pirates.

And the great man puts the young pretender in his place: Ht 7 in Vastervik and Sajfutdinov gates, but Gollob rounds him for the win. But what a rare talent Sajfutdinov is.

There's a slight delay in the Vetlanda meeting because of a crash. I can only assume it's to repair the fence, but will post anything I hear.

And not even Nicki P can prevent a 5-1 from Kylmakorpi and Gapinski, to take Hammarby even further into the lead.

Iversen seems to be on fire lately. I wonder if he'll carry that through to the GP's this year.

What is wrong with Kenneth Bjerre this season - he's more or less a waste of a race jacket at the minute. He really should've been looking to kick on this season.

What a super little rider Wieslaw Jagus is - doing the business for Smederna. Gollob also in a rich vein of form - maximum in Poland on Sunday and unbeaten by an opponent so far today. But for all his manifest greatness, it seems as if Sajfutdinov has been supplying most of the entertainment tonight.
