Another home defeat for Vastervik, but Rospiggarna are really doing well this season. And so are the Indians, who crushed Dackarna this evening.

Finally over in Hammarby, and the loss of Smolinski early on meant a home defeat. But a tense final heat as they went in all even on aggregate, with Dobrucki, who'd been their saviour all night, taking the win and sealing the bonus.

And the rotten luck just won't go away. I guess it goes hand in hand with being weakened. After losing Smolinski in the first heat Kim Nilsson and Denis Gizatulin really did a commendable job to cover for him. We were ofcourse lucky that Piraternas reserve was the hapless Mikael Max, or it would have been a different story. Anyway, ht 12 in particular decided the match. It was re-started twice. And twice Hammarby had a 5-1 through Dobrucki and Nicholls. But it ended 3-3 on the third attempt after Nicholls was excluded, wrongfully in my opionion, after a violent crash with Nermark. That also meant Nicholls couldn't ride in ht 15 which was a blow.
All in all, it was a much better performance from Hammarby than last week, but against a much better side. We have to look at the bonus point, Kim's brilliant return to form and Dobrucki's awesome command of the meeting as high lights.

Anders Fröjd is blaming the referee for Lejonen's loss last night, saying he was unfair in his exclusion of Ulamek, amongst other things. Apparently Nicki wasn't given enough time to prepare between heats, and they didn't want to track Petterson after Jeleniewski touched the tapes? Nothing like being graceful in defeat, is there? But they still picked up the bonus point.

Apparently the ref wouldn't allow the use of no 8 Robert Pettersson after Jeleniewski committed a T/T. Shameful really as it's a perfectly legit manouver.

But according to speedway.nu Petterson did ride? Yes, after 5 mins of arguing and educating the ref on the rule book..

Next week will be interesting because Västervik are in trouble. They go to Masarna, where Tomasz Gollob always calls in sick. So will they be able to convince him to come in this time of need? Also, expect Masarna to put out the strongest team possible.
