He's pricing himself out of the Polish and Swedish markets anyways. So he'll be back looking here. I doubt he'll be as stupid as to price himself out of a job completely. He'll have to go along with a little less pay in the end.

Scott Nicholls has found a place in Sweden - with Vargarna. I guess he must have changed his demands as they've already said they won't pay silly wages and most teams are now full, or have agreements in place with the remaining top riders.

So, with a place in Sweden and the GP's secured, can we assume we'll be waving goodbye to Nicholls in Britain then?
If so, it will be interesting to hear what the pc brigade on the BSF who say everyone should be patriotic and support Nicholls in the GP, have to say then!!

And let's be honest, PC did far more for British Speedway than Nicholls could ever dream of doing!!!!

I would think so, and I would still think it's a good salary if he scores well. Now, how does Poland look for him? He could perhaps find a Liga 1 spot like Bjarne Pedersen?

There are two ways of looking at this: Firstly. Was this Scott's own choice, clearly he was no longer wanted at Coventry, nor it would seem at Eastbourne, and its obvious that very few other teams, if any could fit him into their side with the ridiculous points limit in place. British Speedway appears to be on a path of self destruction, to my knowledge Nicki Pedersen did not want to leave the elite nor did Kris Kasprzak and i have no doubt many others have been forced out as well, who knows why Greg Hancock left but when you start adding up the absentees and include the likes of Gollob and Holta, the league is undoubtably second rate, is it any wonder then that riders such as Crump (and i'm sure not before too long Andersen and Jonsson), feel the elite is no more than a time consuming waste of effort. If it turns out the British champion has been forced out, the future is grim. Secondly. If this was Scott's own decision, he has made a massive mistake, he rides all elite tracks very well, and needs the confidence boost that winning in England gives him as well as the considerable vocal support. Many people will clearly take his decision as a slap in the face, and there will be calls for his exclusion from Team GB and the British championship. I expect his popularity to drop to an all time low, from where he will never recover.

Good riddance to the disloyal flapperjack. Should have been suspended from British Speedway halfway through last season, when he starting quitting the EL Pairs, ELRC and such like. Hopefully his sacking from the Great Britain squad will come soon - and we can have riders who actually want to ride for us. He was a total disgrace in last year's World Cup.

I thought his withdrawal from the EL Pairs and ELRC was appalling and a kick in the teeth to the fans who attended these meetings. Hopefully Lee Richardson will follow suit and bugger off too - that's another rider I've not time for.

Condeming someone without being able to stand in their shoes and see it from their perspective is not somrthing i am into, but i suspect most will agree with you and therefore Nicholls future is bleak. Still cant understand why you acuse him of disloyalty though, or why Subedei labels him 'a beggar'

He owed it to the supporters to attend such events.

Ive never accepted the argument that we should revere all riders because they perform solely for our entertainment, therefore i cant accept the argument that the paying public deserve all riders to appear solely for the public's entertainment. Who knows why Nicholls was a no-show for the two events you've mentioned, but we all know both are a complete waste of time.

I applaud Scott for the path he is taking and wish him well in next years GP series. I think there will be an improvement from him. Some people just can't wait to have someone/something to stick the boot into. The calls for him to be banned from the British Final/SWC are laughable. Testing himself in the far more difficult leagues will be much better for him to achieve his ambitions rather than being a big fish in a little pond in the UK. I admire you Scott Nicholls Rico
